Malconin glanced at the bandages around his waist. "Jolly good job I suppose, chaps," he quipped in a fake english accent. "Now," he continued seriously, "Lets get out of here and get something done. It feels as if we are moving backwards from our goal, not towards it."
"We bring the key together at last?" Asked Jason.
malconin nodded, unsheathing his katana. "We bring the key together at last."

Berina stalked around a corner and sniffed, "We're getting close Mal...I suggest you keep an eye out however...Erik is back in action and closer than he thinks we think he is."

Morgan moved from the garbage bags, groaning abit and holding her back. She looked at the gun aimed at her face.
"Well nice to meet you too." she growled and shook the dirt from her hair. "I'm Morgan, and get that sh*t away from my face." she said.
She walked alittle bit, still limping, and now her one foot was cold. There was no one arund, it was quiet and gloomy.
"What happened..." she whispered to herself. She looked back at the man, and ran her bloody fingers into her hair.
"Who the hell are you?"

Malconin nodded, he could sense Erik was close, but was not worried about the lizard-man at that moment, not with Jason there to back him up.
Navigating their way down to the ground floor of the building caused them no problems, but only because Malconin knew the inner workings of the building and could pick his way down after the chaos caused by Chrys dropping the floors out.
As they progressed, the ever present shadow of Erik was niggling in his mind. The lizard-man was following them alright, but was yet to make a move. Malconin knew that he would wait for what he would think as the opportune time to strike...and it would cost him his life.

Berina whipped around another darkened corner and roared like a lioness as she pinned Erik to a wall and slashed at him fiercely, "MALCONIN! I HAVE HIM!"

Erik was unable to move under the force and strength Berina commanded, his eyes widened as Malconin came around the corner, he hissed venomously and recieved a thudding whack by Berina in the head for it, "Hold your tounge lizard boy." She growled.

'Well, well, well. All that stalking and it gained you nothing." Malconin shook his head and sighed. "Why do you fight me, Erik? It gains you nothing."
"You turned me into a monster!" Erik yelled fiercely, struggling against Berina's hold.
"I turned alot of people into monsters!" Malconin snapped back. "I am not proud of it, but there you have the truth. But Erik, you are only a monster on the outside, not within. Within, you are still human, your outward appearance does not change that. Many people have had to learn to live with what I have made them. Berina, Drake and Jason here are just a few. Even I had to learn to cope with what I had made myself. Get over it, the past can't be changed."
Malconin leant his face close to Erik's. "But now you have a chance to make a difference. A chance to help those not yet touched by the blight I have caused in this world. You have the chance to stop this before it spreads further than it already has. As it is, all you are doing is hindering us, and dooming those innocents left alive to a fate much worse than yours."

Bildo jumped out of bed and caught up with Shalimar and found her pointing her gun at young women. Bildo walked in front of her "dont worry Shal" he said putting his hand on the barrel of the M14 and lowering her aim. He then winked to her and turned to the young women. "I am sorry about that I am Bildo and this is Shalimar are you ok?" Bildo said to the young women shotgun at his side. Then Bildo jumped behind the women holding her back with his body and blasting the head off a zombie in the window. Morgan shielded her eyes and ears from the shot. "Ok I think we better go upstairs its getting crowded". Bildo Picked up the young women as three or four Zombies came from all windows and doors. "Go Shalimar back upstairs" he shouted running back into the Hotel. Shalimar shouted after him "Ok I got your back" then she raised her aim again and blatted a few rounds in each direction. Then one grabbed her from behind and she quickly span and smashed its head in with the butt of the M14. She looked about her, they were surrounding her so she ran off in the direction of the hotel.

Drake whirlled around and punched a hole in the wall. "Ok, enough talk. My trigger finger is getting aweful itchy." It wasn't like Drake to get upset like this, but he assumed it was one of the enhancements Mal had graced him with: a temper. Maybe it was something they would need later on. "Can we go blast the sh!t outa some zombies now?"

][try not to CONTROl my character. That tends to tick me off/.][

Morgan shook her head, it wasnt like she hasnt seen guns before. She pulled her blonde hair up into a ponytail, and walked inside the hotel. She had no time to hang around surrounded by zombies. She moved quickly towards the back exit door. She had to get the the police department, maybe someone there could help her. She looked back to see if anyone was following.
When she opened the door a zombie limped at her, grabbing at her face. Morgan reacted much quciker than the last time, and grabbed the things arms and bashed them into the metal door, then she gave him a fast head butt sending the thing back cracking its head open on the brick wall.
"What the hell is going on?"

((OOC😮k SS sorry about that im just used to doin little things like that soz))

Bildo watched her run to the exit and smash the sh!t outta a zombie "Hey were you going? its safe upstairs with use if only for the night and we have transportation" Bildo shouted after her as she finished fighting. "If you come upstairs I will try explain what is going on" Bildo said quickly after.

((OOC: and sorry again))

][no thats fine.][

"I have to get to the RCPD though." She said looking at him, a little out of breath, she stepped out and saw a handfull of zombies. "Okay well.. that plan is abolished." she frowned and stepped back inside and slammed the door shut. "You dont understand, my family is out there." she looked at them. "I know my brother would probably go near the Unbrella Building. Cant we just go there?" she asked, holding onto the banister, holding in tears.

][grr hello.][

(OOC: So would it be safe to assume that Erik and Liam are one and the same? Or are there two lizard men running about?)

Chrys swung open the metal doors, the decay of an earlier bloodbath and Beethoven blasted on high hitting her full force. Shaking away the smell and the horrific sight, she heard a light splash as she stepped into a small puddle of still drying blood, not bothering to let her fingers wander near the hilt of her new weapon, confident nothing would attack her as of yet.

Raine grimaced, turning from the massacre to Chrys, who had started to cruise through a crimson covered hall. “Chrys, why’d we come back here?”

Running a finger along a clear area of the T.V. stations hall, Chrys’s expression remained blank. “Letting the three musketeers know I’m back, I did after all agree to join them in their little quest,” Shrugging, she kicked open a door, a dent forming in the wall from the doorknobs impact. Staying it with her palm, Chrys held open the door for Paul and Raine. “After you…” With her other hand, she motioned upwards.

Stepping into the stairwell, Raine ran to the foot of the stairs, quickly ascending upwards. Paul started to go but stopped in the doorway. “So you don’t think they would’ve left by now?”

Chrys looked up in thought. “Well, it’s not like I intend to course through every floor in search of them. I’ll go to the last floor we saw them on and if they’re not there…so sad, too bad.” The edge of her lips curling in almost a smile, she quickly grabbed Paul’s wrist, pulling him up after her and up the stairs. She stopped as soon as she started, the heavy sound of a punch heard…from the bottom floor.

“Raine, get back down here!” shouted Chrys, looking up the metal stairs and into the luminous light beaming down. Raine leaned over a metal railing, a quarter through the complex, befuddled and annoyed that she would have to run back down the several flights of stairs she had managed to get up to.

Waiting less than a minute, Chrys tapped Raine lightly against her forehead once she had reached the duo. “Patience is a virtue.”

Raine, hunched over, took several breaths, hands resting on her knees. She held up a finger, swallowing huge gulps of air, talking in between breaths. “You’re…” She stood up straight, pointing. “You’re the one who told me to go up!”

Chrys walked back into the corridor with a shrug. “So if I told you to go off a cliff, would you have taken a running jump?” Holding back a smirk, she tapped the hilt of her katana, starting to walk down the corridor.

At seeing Chrys place her hand near her weapon, Paul took out his beretta, Raine as well. “No, because that’s a completely different circumstance, stairs don’t make you go,” She clapped her hands together, “Splat! Once you reach the bottom floor!” exclaimed Raine, a mocking grin on her face.

Intervening into what could have turned into an argument, Paul hushed them both, putting a finger to his lips. “Calm down, think we might be close to the source…”

“The source?” Raine whispered, looking between the two confused.

Sidling against the wall, Chrys glanced to her. “We heard something down here…”

“So like classic horror movie victims, we run checking it out!” completed Raine, grip tightening on her beretta, same mock smile.

“That’s the general idea.” agreed Chrys, hand wrapped around the hilt of her katana. Removing her weapon from its sheath, she turned the corner, resting it slightly as she took in the sight. Berina held to the wall a heavily struggling lizard man, to his side was Malconin, bandages across his waist. A gaping hole could be seen in the wall, Drake’s standing near it with an expression of discontent. Lastly, was a quiet meandering zombie, apparently enjoying the scenery.

Chrys sheathed her katana, reaching for her beretta, but Paul got to his first, firing off a shot. What surprised her more than Paul’s sudden agility boost was the zombie evading the shot. Turning to Malconin, he contorted his decaying face to make a grotesque frown, motioning in the direction of the trio. “This another one of your trigger happy friends?”

Raine’s gun fell to her feet, she stopping in the process of lodging in a clip. She stood blinking at what just happened. Closing her eyes, she summoned a load of skepticism, summarizing the scene. “A six foot something lizard and a talking zombie. It’s official,” Running her fingers into her hair frustrated, she spoke in almost a shout. “Ladies and Gentlemen, we’ve reached the twilight zone!”

At Raine’s outburst, Chrys half expected to hear the theme song start to play over the speakers, adding onto the already unsettling atmosphere. Hand resting on her beretta, she forced herself not to start shooting randomly to burn off the quick flare of annoyance that had come. Closing her eyes, she counted to ten in her mind, throwing back her head once done, sighing. “Please tell me that this is all animatronics, robotics, whatever the hell it’s called…”

Opening her eyes, Chrys looked onto the scene with a foreboding intensity, an ominous nonchalant. “PLEASE…tell me that science hasn’t completely screwed the pooch or…” Glancing to Jason, she searched for the right words. “He’s not what happens when that antivirus thing is released….”

OOC: LOL! Yeah...WTF!???????!!!!!!!! His name has changed...lol...glad you're on the ball midnight...Scratch the Erik name...and replace it with Liam...lol.

Malconin frowned at them. "No, not at all. Jason is my cousin, and agreed to undergo one of my early experiments. It was not quite sucessful, yet he survived."
Malconin nodded towards Jason. "This was the result."

OOC: Oh, thought so, lol, cause I was really wondering if I was going crazy there for a minute...

Chrys raised an eyebrow, reaching into a backpocket. Taking out her cigarette and lighter, she lit it up almost ploddingly, letting out a puff of smoke before talking.

"So basically..." Taking a long drag, not caring at how her next statement would come out, she folded her arms, elbow rested on her hand casually, cigarette dangling daintily from her fingertips. "You f*cked your cousin over, no?"

"I knew the risks going into the process!" Jason snapped, not liking the way this upstart, trigger happy stranger was speaking to his cousin. "I may not look like much," he continued just as hotly, "But I can smash a hole in your pretty little skull with little effort. And if you ever talk to my cousin like that agian, I won't hesitate to do just that."
Malconin placed a calming hand on Jason's rotting shoulder. "Enough, cousin." He said soflty. Malconin turned an icy glare upon Chrys. "We have enough problems as it is without fighting amoung one another. Perhaps you could try not to provoke people for a time?"
Without acknowledging her presence anymore, Malconin truned to Liam. "I am fast running out of patience with the lot of this and most definately I am running out of patience with you. You cannot escape this time, and you will die if your only wish is to hinder us. Why don't you just-"
Suddenly, one strong scaled arm shot up at the unsuspecting Berina, Liam having freed it whilst they were distracted by Chrys, knocking her off balance and causing her to stumble to the side. The lizard-man lunged at Malconin, spearing him through a door way, where they tumbled unceremoniously down a flight of steps, crashing into the wall below and sending concrete shattering in all directions.
Liam slammed Malconin's head into the wall twice before getting to his feet and sprinting down the stair well.
"Liam!" Malconin bellowed. "There is no need for this."
An object flew up the stairwell, bouncing off the wall and landing at Malconin's feet. It was a granade. "Where the hell did he-"
BOOM!
The explosion ripped through the stair well, sending Malconin back up it and flying past his comerades, the cuts on his midsection and face shredding away, vanerable in their current state. Malconin screamed in agony, unused to his skin being breached and landed hard on the floor, writhing and moaning in pain. Dark clouds swam across his vision and he only had time enough to see his wife rise from the rubble in the hallway, before his vision dimmed further and he slipped into the welcomed oblivion of unconciousness.

"Well im really sorry but there is nobody at the RPD, I am a police officer and I came from there and its empty, deserted and its to dangerous now to go anywere. Come upsatairs and get some sleep some food and things then well go search tomorrow ok"
Bildo said walking over to the door checking it was closed and walking up next to morgan. The creatures still banging on the door hard.

She ignored, and ran out the exit door. She didnt want to sleep, and she didnt want to eat. Before the zombies could grab at her, she hoped a fence and ran through a basketball court and down another alley. She stopped under a street light that flickered, she gulped looking around her.

There was nothing, crashed cars, trash, dead people laying on the road, jsut chaos. She looked back down the alley and it seemed so dark and so unsafe. The wind blew under her making her shiver, and her one shoeless foot numb. She hugged herself, almost feeling safe under the light. The soft buzzing of the street light seemed to protect her, she couldnt hear groaning or zombies dragging there dead feet.

Then the light went out. Oh shit, Oh shit, Oh shit was all she could think about. She took a deep breath, and she could feel the cold air go through her body. Now it was silent, the only thing she could hear was the wind, sirens in the distance, and the occasional bird. She began to shiver, but she had to get over the fear.

I just have to get to the Umbrella Corps Building... she thought looking down each street. Then she heard the distance moan, and her feet started to move. She started running fast, leaping over trashcans, or anything that lay under her. It didnt take her long to encounter a zombie.

"I need a cigarette," she sighed watching as the thing came towards her, it was slow but it was strong. Its gaping mouth tried to bit her arm, she quickly moved and kicked it in its back, pinning it down on the cement. She saw the gun in its holset, A cop... she thought, and a smile appeared on her scarred face.

Still pinning him down, she grabbed the gun, but it wasnt over. Another from behind grabbed at her neck, she held in the scream and flipped it over stepping back. She aimed her gun and shot it in the leg. It stopped only to look down at the wound and then kept moving at her. The other one slowly stood up. She took another shot at its leg.

Still they moved.

"What the hell-" she gasped, and it leaped at her, knocking her to the ground. She took the butt of her gun and bashed it hard in its head, slime and flesh crumbled onto her face as well as its brain started to leak. She pushed it off of her and got up quick, pointing her gun at it. It didnt move, now her eyes darted back to the other one still moving, but she heard more groaning.

She looked behind her. There was a crowd of them ... "I dont have time for this." she hissed, and darted through the park, taking a shortcut, to where she needed to be.

Chrys dropped her cigarette, shielding her eyes from the flying debris and dust, her ears still ringing from the sudden explosion that had rocked the area. Managing to hear only a small yelp, she rubbed at her ears vigorously, closing her eyes as she wondered what exactly had just happened, only able to make out the familiar smell of burnt flesh.

Once the dust had settled, the area cleared, Chrys looked around, cold blue eyes resting on the near mutilated figure of Malconin. Berina ran over to him almost instantly, Drake and Jason following after, she only able to blink. She could feel it welling up inside her, a cold anger…no, it was a heated anger, a passionate anger.

Balling up her fist, she cursed in her head, eyes closed. ‘…sh*t…Sh*t…SH*T!’ Snapping her eyes open, she unzipped her Kevlar jacket. “No, this isn’t happening, I may not be living,” She threw her jacket to the floor, CD’s falling from pockets and dancing to the floor. She continued in a low angry tone. “A god damn fairy tale, but crap like this isn’t supposed to happen.” Taking out her katana, she cut a thin slit down the front of her shirt, leaving only the collar intact.

“NOW,” Pulling the shirt over her head, she glared angrily. “I may not care about your husband and I know I don’t trust him,” Chrys ripped the collar apart in concentration, her eyes strangely glassy. “But he is of no f*cking use to ME or anybody else for the matter DEAD and I refuse to accept that I came to this damned hellhole for NOTHING!” Chrys was now near hysterics, tossing her shredded shirt in Malconin’s direction.

Breathing heavily, she balled her fist up into her chin, closing her eyes, finally managing a few words. “Someone patch him up for the moment…we gotta get him somewhere…”

Raine watched as Drake and Berina hurriedly patched up the unconscious Malconin as best as they could, finding her voice after a minute. “What do you mean, somewhere? Where? After all, zombies, outbreak and the such, etc.”

Still closing her eyes, holding back a shiver, Chrys spoke through gritted teeth. “He’s not exactly Superman…Elizabeth. He’s not going to really regenerate within a few minutes. I mean, somewhere Raine. I mean where you found me,” Opening her eyes, she gave a strange glare. “I mean the f*cking hospital!”

Raine looked at her obscurely, deciding not to comment. Chrys picked up her vest, placing her CD’s back into their pockets before placing it on. Paul looked to her in confusion. “There was a hoard there, Chrys. What makes you think it would be safe anywhere in that place?”

She stopped, hand midway through a sleeve, her eyes gaining a look of loss as she thought. ‘First floor, scorched out…swarming? Not anymore, no functional equipment though. Second, maternity ward, not much use, basement, body freezer morgue thing, third, swarming with lickers, stairwell broke on that level,’ Placing on her Kevlar jacket, she adjusted it across her back. ‘Fourth, zombie crowd, fifth, ICU, swarming…no,’ Her eyes narrowed. ‘Our charge was there, but in an isolated Panic room area,’ Digging unconsciously into a pocket, she took out a blue keycard. ‘And I hold the access key in my hand…’

Moving the card through her fingers, Chrys walked over to Berina and Drake who had started to bring Malconin to his feet. Sighing, she fluttered the card in between her hands, looking between the two gravely, fatigue across her face. “Alright, Ms. Valious…Drake, let’s pretend. Let’s pretend for a moment that I’m not an at times evil brat…let’s pretend I didn’t destroy part of ‘the key’. Let’s even pretend that I’m not a cold hearted grudge holding b*tch who less than a few hours ago had a blade to Malconin’s neck.”

Chrys tossed the card over her shoulder, Paul managing to catch it in his outstretched hand. She scrunched up her nose. “Now enhanced or not, Mr. Valious over here should get himself to a hospital, at least to get himself a blood pack. The only clear area is the fifth floor, going up from the North stairwell. Paul and Raine will guide you through it and if they start to slow you down, Mr. ‘Smash a hole in my pretty little skull,’ Chrys glanced to Jason. “Can pick them up and run with them to the hospital…time is of the essence and you three are by far the fastest…and strongest ones able to do such a thing.”

Berina and Drake had already started to head outside with Malconin, Raine making a face as Jason grabbed her around her waist and started to speed after them. Only Paul stood in place, looking to her solemnly. “Funny Chrys…you make it sound as if you’re not coming with us…”

Chrys smiled weakly, leaning against the wall. “I’m not, I’d just slow you down. I’m a little exhausted from the past days events, I just need a break, ya know?”

Paul shook his head. “Not here, not with that lizard man about. Maybe Malconin’s cousin can carry you.”

Chrys crossed her arms, a hint of impatience to her smile. “Think I’d be three to many. Just go Paul. Hurry up and help out Mr. Valious. He got messed up pretty bad…”

Paul looked to Chrys as if trying to understand her. “Didn’t you have a fight…Chrys, what’s going on?” Chrys looked down to her folded arms, her brownish blonde mane falling down over her features not revealing anything. “Chrys…?” She didn’t comment, starting to squeeze her arms subconsciously. He placed his hands on her shoulders, his voice a little stern. “Chrys, what is it?”

“I want a rematch,” she grumbled. Chuckling lightly to herself, staring to her boots, she forced herself to speak clearly. “He’s one of the most powerful…I don’t believe I beat him that…I want a fair fight.”

Paul didn’t release his grip on her shoulders, still only able to see her rippled messy hair. “There’s more to it than that though, isn’t there? More complicated than what it seems…”

Raising her head, Chrys revealed her eyes, brimming with tears. Giving a trembling smile, she stroked his cheek. “Isn’t it always…?” Pulling his head close, she gave him a gentle kiss, whispering as she was close. “Now hurry up and go with the others…I’ll meet you partway there, alright?”

Paul looked to her, nodding silently, kissing her forehead. Parting from her, he glanced back only once before turning ahead and joining the others, leaving Chrys back to where she started. On her own…
