just for a sense of security probably like why wear a bullet proof vest (invented by a woman theres ur random info 😛) when the person could just shoot u in the face?

it just makes the person feel more secure

well actually that does help a little...I mean a head is a lot smaller of a target than your chest which is wear you'd most likely be shot at
