'Dozer splashed up from under the fetid water, choking and spitting. "Sh*t, girl...!" ~SPLASH SPLASH~ "I was jus' playin'!" ~SPLASH SPLASH~ He stood up in the pool and spit out more water. "Girl, stop f*ckin' around! This might be where them freaky bug-things take a crap! An' you got it all up in my mouth! Cain't a guy joke wit' you without bein' drowned?!"
"Not if you're making jokes like that!" laughed Bee as she started to splash him more fervently along with Liana.
She cut it out after awhile and dived backwards underwater, letting the cool liquid wake her up from the slight fatigue that was starting to come. She popped back up quickly, flicking her braids, then giving a smile as she looked to the rest of the group. "Hey, you guys coming are what?"
JT watched as her team slowly descended into the dark waters below. It looked like a small pond but her map told her that an underwater tunnel lay beneath. She took off her heavy black vest to reveal a tight white T-shirt. All she had now was her knife and her torch. She took in a deep breath then swan-dived into the the icy waters. Her body began to tingle as it adapted to it's cold surroundings. She clicked on her torch to reveal and underwater passageway. Immediatly she began swimming to the exit.
'Dozer watched the three women disappear under the murky water, then turned to Travis and grinned. "You know, with them three girls along runnin' around in wet t-shirts, this trip might not turn out to be so bad after all. But me an' you look like sh*t."
The big man stripped off his ruined body armor along with the rest of his equipment and tossed it on the ground. All he took with him were the borrowed Beretta and shotgun, and the webgear with his last 2 WP grenades and his combat knife still attached. "C'mon, let's get this over with. I'll drag the harness, you take the smart gun. I hope it's waterproof."
'Dozer flexed his bad arm, sucked in a huge breath, and dove in. It was hard going with only one good arm, especially with the added weight of the smart gun harness, but he managed to kick with his powerful leg muscles and pull himself along with his big right arm. It was slow going, and 'Dozer really didn't like the water too much to begin with, but he managed to paddle along the underwater corridor. It was dark in the black water, but as his eyes adjusted, he thought he could just make out the phosphorescent glow of one of his squad members a few yards ahead.
Travis watched as the others had went one by one into the water, He knew that surviving this nightmare was a high priority, and some of his past demons would have to come out. Without stripping off his gear Travis walked straight into the water. Luckily the path sloped downwards and he just continued walking forwards without worry of floating.
As he walked along he noticed that 'Dozer was having trouble making it with one arm. Travis grabbed him with his right hand and began to drag him through the water. As he drug the large man he noticed Liana up ahead being knocked around by an unseen force.
Bee watched in curiosity at seeing something had started to drag Liana deeper below the surface. She pushed whatever it was against the wall, revealing a Predator type creature, causing Bee to drop her jaw.
Before any real problems arose, Travis stepped in and blasted it away. Liana motioned him forward whereas Bee turned back after J.T., taking out the stiletto from her boot. She glanced to Dozer by her side, who was making slow progress what with the mutilation of his arm. She made a motion as if asking if he wanted her to help him swim.
'Better ask than just do. Some people get type pissy about receiving help...even if they need it,' She thought to herself with a far off look.
'Dozer was getting pissed. Not at the others, but at himself. He was proving to be little more than dead weight in the water with his messed up arm. He had to show these people he was still a 'F*ckin' Colonial Marine!', or give up the ghost to one of the bad guys. He waved off help from 'Bee' and swam on by himself, still dragging the smart gun harness.
