Cree sat in the quaint ice cream parlor near the outskirts of town with a bored expression as she made several circle patterns with the tips of her fingernail on the shiny blue marble tabletop. She tilted her head to the side, as behind her the sun started to set, leaving behind a trail of darkness and stars.
"What do ya want?"
Cree looked up from her thoughts to the gruff looking man behind the counter. He knew she was a vampire and frankly, he didn't care, as a customer was a customer. He also let it be known any teens who thought it would be 'cute' to mess with him because of his affiliations would receive a shotgun blast to the face from his 12-gauge without a secondary thought.
Cree gave a half smile. "Strawberry Daiquiri...no alc-"
Before she even finished the sentence, he pulled out one from beneath the counter and placed it before. She smiled broadly as she handed him a five. "Thanks for that!" She turned around in her seat, drink in hand, and with a pout took out a small vial filled with a thick crimson liquid.
She stuck out her tongue in disgust. "Synthetic blood," she didn't like it much but was trying to avoid the real thing for awhile. She poured the blood into her drink, stirring it with a small red straw. Taking a deep breath, she downed the liquid, stopping halfway as she slammed the tall glass onto the counter top and clutched onto her head.
"Brain freeze..."

Sumner walked into the arcade, looking around with an amused expression at several kids running around. He almost smiled at seeing a kid and a guy facing off at one of the air hockey tables but instead just maintained a trace of a smirk.
He started to play House of the Dead, enjoying the temporary loss of reality and it's troubles, focusing on the beings he shot with near dead accuracy with an intense expression of focus in his eyes.
A few hours and a pack of quarters later, he had managed to beat the game and figured he would head out from the arcade to get something to eat.
Sumner walked out the arcade, hoping dinner would be enough to stall getting him home. He sighed and started to walk briskly away from the arcade. The sound of a motorcycle approaching from behind caught his hearing. He glanced back with an anxious expression to see someone riding by. He tried to get a good look but instead, bumped into a girl and the boy he had seen playing air hockey earlier.
"Sorry about that."
