Who is stronger?

Yes, the Thing has organs...even Richards admitts he doesnt understand Grimm's anatomy and physiology completely...He has Organs...but they r certainly not human...and yes he is still vulnerable to disease...It has been explained that the Thing material is from an entirely different dimension, going into oblivion when he is not in his Thing form...The Things powers are much more complicated than Colossus'

I just read Astonishing x-men #7 and Colossus and Thing team up to take out a 100ft tall monster. They both picked up a semi with a trailer and smashed it into the ground. I must admitt it was pretty cool to see these two working together.

shit...i need to go to the comic book store

I heard somewhere that Colossus is class 100. Is Thing still at 85 yet? The last I heard he was. My vote goes to the big russian.

yes i dont think anything official has said Colossus is higher than 70

I beg to differ. My cuz just showed me official Marvel publication stating that Colossus can lift 100 tons. Thats good enough for me.

I think they have the same strenght, class 85.

Colossus is class 100. Thing is still 85 uless someone can prove it.

And where is the proof that colossus is class 100? i think that he isnt that strong.

I read it in a Marvel encyclopedia. I went to the book store the other day to go buy it but it was sold. It said plain as day "at the time of his death Collossus could lift 100 tons" It was published before he came back. (2002). The book was a white hardcover and was a pretty good sized book it had all of the X-men in it.

They boosted Colossus' stats awhile ago when someone was fooling around with the math involved in having a man made out of solid steel. Originally the big-C was slated to weigh around 500 pounds. Now having a 7'5" tall big Ruskie made out of solid steel is not going to weigh 500 pounds, someone did some quick math, found he'd weigh a couple tons, and decided to redo his stats, giving him a strength boost to go with it.

Oh was that in the X-Men book of the dead...yea that would be a true source...If thats the case I would totally agree that he is class 100 in that case...additionally, in Astonishing X-Men recently Juggernaut was strugling with weight Colossus could lift in the Danger Room.

I dont think the class 85 stat for the Thing is reliable at all since he was 500 lbs at the time and it was 1985...The Thing is perpetually geting stronger because he absorbs more radiation and mutates further...In 1991 after his second mutation he was 100+ and stronger than the Hulk...with apparently unlimited stamina and very high durability...after he returned to his rocky appearance he has still increased to over 700lbs rather than his original 500...presently the Thing's strength is undefined but I would certainly assume it is higher than 85

Wynndar I really dont know how to take your posts' most of the time. It seems you are kinda ignorant to me. Anyways I read Astonishing X-men and Juggernaut was not in it once. Where can I read of this Juggernaut struggling in the danger room? And your Thing being stronger and heavier could be true but I dont go on what I think I go by what Marvel says on stats. I have all of the Marvel encyclopedias and not one of them says Thing weighs more than 500lbs or can lift 100 tons. And my most recent was published in 2004. Anyone can assume this or that by what character do in comics but I have seem character do stuff that they shouldnt or not be able to do stuff they should.

"oh what that in x-men book of the dead" Good one smart@ss. You think that maybe that book was published when he was dead. Just because he was dead does not mean that they leave him out cause he was a member of the team. And I have seen that Encyclopedia that Jugg74 mentioned. It does say that he could lift 100 tons.

no i was not being a smart ass hahaha...i really thought u were talking about the book of the dead...I realize there was also a X-Men encyclopedia recently...I dont know why u assumed i was being a smart ass...that was just the first encyclopedia that came to mind.

Hey thanks for telling me Im ignorant...

Juggernaut wasnt in Astonishing X-Men, it was an issue of Uncanny X-Men around #440....it was the issue that Ice Man returned to the team and was pissed that Jug. had joined...He was struggling with weight that was below Colossus' Max.

Reed Richards asked the Thing if he still weighed 700lbs in an issue of Fantastic Four bcause he felt heavier...It has been mentioned several times in FF that the Thing gets stronger the older he gets due to him absorbing more cosmic rays.

Colossus is stronger than Juggs now? I knew he was depowerd but I didnt think it was that much.

it is that much...

his durability is way down too...

i rekon collosus beats thing in durability and strength....

Collossus is stronger, he is past 100 class
