you (collectively) are absolutely right if you believe it requires no talent to be a rapper. what is really scary is that young children buy into this crap that is sold as "real hip hop." Unfortunately, too many influential "well known" artists are too scared to take a stand and speak out against the so called "evolution of rap music." the only one that does is krs-one.
to be an emcee it takes talent, intelligence, and a unselfish desire to contribute quality music to the hip hop culture. if you call yourself an emcee and can't honestly say these are your qualities and goals, you're only fooling yourself, because everyone else sees through you.
if anyone wants some real hip hop, turn off your radio and do some homework.
