and seeing as Bush wears his faith on his sleeve

Yeah and our demise in the palm of his hands.

Yeah, Lianslo, but not all American's are Christian or even religious, for that matter. Just because he's religious doesn't mean that he's a good president.

this is exactly where we differ. Like i said, for me...faith is a huge issue, one which i put much stalk in. But if your not a Christian, and feel the whole idea is ridiculous, of course your not going to want to vote in a man who obviously stands firm on God. We're touching on a whole different issue here...

and...i did see a stat that said 21% of the american people put morales as their number one voting priority...very close to the 20% for economy, and surprisingly, both of these beat the 18% for terrorism.

I have no problem with him (or you for that matter) being religious, I just don't think it's a valid reason to vote for someone, just because they're religious. Kerry is religious as well, and I voted for him. Religion isn't important to me, it's more about their standings and their ideas that interest me. Hell, Kerry could be a satanist for all i care, and if he still acted and gave the same ideas he currently does, I'd vote for him.

lainslo, enjoy those thoughts, when almost every 18 year old is drafted by 2006 if Bush wins.

Once again above is the top reason why it would horrible for him to become president again.

@ BackFire -i understand (as much as I can) where your coming from...but as i've already said, the person I am, and what i believe really comes into play...and for me, its definately a valid reason to vote for him.

Exactly. I don't give two shits that Bush is religious. What I don't like is how he is (or was) pushing for things like the 10 Commandments being in schools.

Well that's your decision. I could care less what you do or believe, as long as you don't let your religion blind you to the faults of someone else who may share your same religion.

f*ck bush

all hail president kerry.

So you would vote for him because of your religion regardless of the 1,000 deaths he has caused in Iraq and the countless amount that it will be if he becomes president once again?

our country was founded on religous values, are we going to attempt to take, "in God we trust" off of our dollar bills? If so, out entire world is becoming more of a sad place then I thought, and our country is doomed.

dude, I hate to break it to you all, But I think Bush has won.

it would take osmething drastic for the elction to flip now...if only he had focused on new mexico...

Eh, I don't really care about the whole "in god we trust thing". I think it's a stupid thing for people to get pissy about and try to get it removed. I doubt it will ever happen. Same goes for the pledge of allegiance "under god" thing. They shouldn't have to take that out of the pledge, just allow kids or people who don't believe in god to just not say it.

No, sweetie, the US was founded on religious freedom.

I don't think Kerry's going to win...cry

definately not...i'm not going to be blind to the actions of somebody simply because of their religion, as your currently thinking, thats a ridiculous way to think about things. And even not all of Bush's decisons were good ones, at least he's making decisions. Sometimes I think that Bush would have been screwed either way. Currently people are upset because we're in Iraq, but if we weren't, would there we thousands of people upset cuz Bush wasn't sufficiently protecting our country? I'm not saying I only support Bush because of his religion, yes, its a large issue for me, but I also stand behind his decisions, and I know that he's constantly trying to do whats best for the american people.

Don't give up your hope so fast.

Kerry most likely isn't going to win.
