this is exactly where we differ. Like i said, for me...faith is a huge issue, one which i put much stalk in. But if your not a Christian, and feel the whole idea is ridiculous, of course your not going to want to vote in a man who obviously stands firm on God. We're touching on a whole different issue here...
I have no problem with him (or you for that matter) being religious, I just don't think it's a valid reason to vote for someone, just because they're religious. Kerry is religious as well, and I voted for him. Religion isn't important to me, it's more about their standings and their ideas that interest me. Hell, Kerry could be a satanist for all i care, and if he still acted and gave the same ideas he currently does, I'd vote for him.

Exactly. I don't give two shits that Bush is religious. What I don't like is how he is (or was) pushing for things like the 10 Commandments being in schools.

i understand (as much as I can) where your coming from...but as i've already said, the person I am, and what i believe really comes into play...and for me, its definately a valid reason to vote for him.
So you would vote for him because of your religion regardless of the 1,000 deaths he has caused in Iraq and the countless amount that it will be if he becomes president once again?
Eh, I don't really care about the whole "in god we trust thing". I think it's a stupid thing for people to get pissy about and try to get it removed. I doubt it will ever happen. Same goes for the pledge of allegiance "under god" thing. They shouldn't have to take that out of the pledge, just allow kids or people who don't believe in god to just not say it.

our country was founded on religous values, are we going to attempt to take, "in God we trust" off of our dollar bills? If so, out entire world is becoming more of a sad place then I thought, and our country is doomed.
No, sweetie, the US was founded on religious freedom.
I don't think Kerry's going to win...cry
