Are the Mounties real people??

I've heard storys about them..horrifying. I learned them when i was 8 in summer camp. Never will I forget the Mounties of Canada.

They are just Red Coats from the Colonial times who are lost.

I go to a school founded by Canadians. Our mascot is a mountie. Hes scary.
