Superjoint are an important band, but i wouldnt call them a super group.

supergroups are usauly made up of members from other succesful bands all the bands that the mamvers are from were very succesful

it is? i thought it was just a term used for big bands that have been consistently good/successful over a large period of time nowadays. i guess that narrows the supergroup field down quite a lot then.

I could be wrong, of course, but that's how I heard some media people describe A Perfect Circle.
