The Quenya Grounds!

I thought it would be a good idea to create this for anyone Quenya speakers to practise sentences and phrases without trying to follow a conversation.

I'll post up my favourite sentence first:

I eleni nar calime.
= The stars are bright

(The first sentence I ever learned.)

If you notices errors, feel free to point them out.

I am learning at the moment, can you help me with the pronunciation of I eleni nar calime.

Sulier.

Stressed EH-leh-nee
ca-li-me

Again the stress is one syllable earlier than usually, like
CAH-lee-meh

It would be easier in RL you know...
cry

✅ cry
I think it's a good idea though to have a thread for actually 'speaking' Quenya 😊

*wonders what her first sentence was*

I think "Mornóreo núresse, yasse caitar i fuini" 😖
('In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie'... from the verse of the Rings Ô_o)

Wow, you're really good, I'm just saying simple things...

So am I 😕

Combinations with 'ná'/'to be' are imo more complicated than normal present verbs like caita- laughing

Is it "gîl síla" or "gîl híla"? Aren't verbs directly following the subject of the sentence also softly-mutated (s>h)?
