well, maybe master chief doesnt have enough space around him to accelerate to 100 mph, or maybe he just seems like he's jogging like a cancer patient, to the untrained eye.

How come Samus is nearly killed by some bugs and then takes 6 minutes or so to get out of a collapsing space station? These retaliations are becoming very repetitive and futile, now if david was FASTER... we would probly have the story posted... but hes not!
as for the speed issue, someone mentioned some numbers a few pages back that I didnt bother to remember.. its just the idea of a gameplay balancing issue when compared to the reality of how the hero/heroine is really supposed to be portrayed (like in a cinematic form)
You all forget the new abilities of Samus' in Metroid Prime 2. I'll just edit the list General Kaliero posted a couple pages back.
Samus' arsenal the last time we checked (counting Metroid Prime 2: Echoes)
Beams: Power beam, Charge beam, Wave beam, Ice beam, Plasma beam, Phazon beam, Dark beam, Light beam, Annihilator beam
Projectile: Missiles (250 total), Super Missiles, Wavebuster, Icebuster, Flamethrower, Dark Burst, Sun Burst, Sonic Boom
Miscellaneous: Morph ball, Bomb, Power bomb, Speed Booster (AKA ShineSpark), Screw Attack, Grapple Beam, Spider Ball, Hacker Mode Visor (this is under miscellaneous because it isn't a regularly used visor), Boost Ball, Space Jump, Gravity Boost
Visors: Combat Visor, Scan Visor, Thermal Visor, X-Ray Visor, Dark Visor, Echo Visor
And her Scan Visor allows to locate weak spots on any enemies, determine attack tactics and the history on the enemy she is scanning.
Not to mention that she also has the ability to see things farther away than a normal human, she also has better hearing too. These aren't special additions from her suit. Those two abilities became hers once she was infused with the Chozo blood.
Thus proving that Samus would kick MC's @$$. 😛
Samus Aran could easily win. I mean she has got the advantage over Master Chief because she has a much more impresive arsanal of weaponary and equipment at her diposal like all her cannons, all forms of ball transformation as well as bombs. and various suits, and what does master chief have a cool looking suit and a bunch of second rate weapons well they are in comparison to Samus. Not only that but Samus's suit was made using chozo technology which means that it is extra special and just better, Master Chiefs suit is just some hardened battle suit made by the military, and has nothing special about it plus as a last resort all Samus has to do is whip off her suit and Master Chief would be drooling like a baby.
