What kind of job do you have?

I thought it might be interesting to see what kinds of jobs we have or have had. Are you still a scholar or a student? Do you work full-time or part-time? What kind of work do you do? What have you done in the past?

I looked for this, but couldn't find it, so if it's been covered before, I apologise.

As for myself, I've been a clerk in a videostore, a chauffeur for VIP's, a journalist at a student newspaper, I bartended while I was in London, waitered in a posh restaurant here in South Africa (I once served Nelson Mandela: He had chicken!), at the moment at I am tutor at a university for Sociology students, as well as a research assistant. In about two days I am starting at Media South Africa, as a part-time media analyst.

So how about you?

i used to work for a global pharmaceutical company called west pharmaceuticals. i only worked part time, i was the assistant to the IT manager. So basically i had to install peoples email on their machines, install printers, drivers and whatever stuff, fix broken computers, lots of little jobs like that.

the only reason i left was because i moved to the other side of the world!

I am a lecturer at a University of Technology. I'm also battling through my PhD which opens up lots of opportunity for travel. I worked as a casual in a clothing shop when I was studying and as a belly dancer in Moroccan and Greek restaurants for many years while I was lecturing and doing my masters. Stopped that about 2 years ago when the worry of seeing my students in the restaurants became too much 🙂 Also, I was getting tired of losing bits of my costumes all over the place.

moneypenny huh? sounds like someone who should visit the james bond section 😉

Sounds that way. Thing is I don't even like Bond movies (I'm opening myself up to major criticism here aren't I?) I liked the name though and under pressure was all I could come up with 🙂

ah shucks, there goes my attempt to lure another soul 😉

I could go look, but everyone will laugh at my comments and I'll feel like a lost soul on stillettos with champagne bubbling through my brain... 😛

you'll be Paris Carver huh 😉

nah, no pressure 🙂

I dont have a job right now being that I am only fourteen. But I will lilke to get a job once I can drive and once I am out of highschool. No collage for me.
Can't wait it sounds like fun!Well see you around.JM

I once saw this site about the most absurd excuses people put down for car accidents. Stuff like "I was driving when I looked around and saw my mother-in-law, then I drove my car into a ditch" or "I pressed the button for the garage door to open and didn't see that I was in the wrong driveway so I crashed into the garage door" and stuff like that.

It was hilarious.

Well I sort of run errands for engineers as a part-day job. Nothing too hard.

im an auditor ; currently re-doing a course i done 7 years ago cause they changed its damn Name and included several modules.

I hate european dictatorship making me re - invest money cause by 2010 i wont be accepted no-where (they say)
