You know since he despises Americans, cacasuians, Japanese ( or "Boonai" which is Japs in Madarian) and has nothing but contempt for women, is he homosexual or what and only trains men or what?

What if Ricky from " Riki-Oh The Story of Ricky" fought against Pai Mei?

And anyone thought he was a cruel and selfish old guy who cares nothing but himself?

Well, when one is great as Pai Mei one deserves to be a bit arrogant. But ideally he seems like a flawed version of the mentor sterotype (think Obi Wan, Gandalf, Hatori Hanzo and then compare them to Pai Mei, quite a contrast). I don't think he is homosexual, perhaps he is celebrant or something, which is often natural in semi relgious states. And he is cruel and selfish to those who have not earned his respect. He knows he is good, it takes a lot to impress him. Eventually it seems the Bride does that.
