There was another long silence and this time it was broken by a loud ‘miaow’ issuing from somewhere between Harry’s foot, he looked down. It was Mrs Norris, the foul caretaker's cat.
‘Shoo!’ Torch said to it and it stalked away.
‘But she’s going to tell Filch.’ Harry muttered.
‘So?’ Torch said haughtily as they started walking past the Trophy Chamber ‘we’re in sixth year aren’t we? We’re allowed to stay outside until 10 and its only 7:30.’
They had finally reached the ground floor after five minutes.
‘Right this way.’ Said Torch stepping beside a door that looked very much like Firenze’s classroom. She turned the knob and entered with Harry behind her.
Unlike Firenze’s classroom, which was an exact replica of a part of a forest, this room was in the mould of the rest of the classrooms, namely marble floor. There were heaps of cushions staked by the wall though and there was not another single furniture in the room except for the candleholders.
Torch pulled out her wand and waved at the cushions that immediately covered up the floor. Torch stepped over the cushions and walked near to Harry.
‘Now Harry, lets just get on started about blocking your mind first.’ She said stowing her wand away.
‘Your not going to use Legilimency on me then?’ He asked relived.
‘No, I’m not.’
‘Thank god!’
Harry could very well remember when last year he was forced to take Occlumency lessons with Snape just because no one else was available. And Snape, with his deep dislike of Harry took every opportunity to make it as torturous as possible so much that his scar would never stop prickling and he would constantly suffer from severe headaches for half the year.
‘So what methods are we using anyway?’ he asked enthusiastically.
‘I call it “Sev les ru oyt sur’t” but you can call whatever you like. Anyway, this is not as time consuming as Occlumency, nor as painful you don’t need to empty your head every time you go to bed. As a matter of fact once you’ve learned it, it will create an invisible shield that no one, not even Voldemort could penetrate. The only person who can is the one whom you have willingly given your permission to search your head. Unlike Occlumency this shield will not go away if your drunk or drugged. Now to master it would take you a week at the most, but if your luck you can do it in five days.’ Torch finished and looked at him impressively. ‘Shall we get on then?’
‘Yeah, sure.’
‘Ok, first step: I’ll direct some powers at you, once you think you can stand it, command it to build an invisible shield all around you that not even Voldemort can break. Got it?’
‘That’s it?’
‘Yes, but the first part is the tricky one. For this, you need to be strong-you have to tell your self constantly. Now on 3. 1…2…3 GO!’
The moment Torch had closed her eyes, all the candles went out. The room was suddenly filled with powerful invisible waves. Torch and Harry were lifted into the air. Strong wind seemed to be blowing from underneath them causing their black hairs to whip lethally in the air. Their faces seemed to glow milky white. The Torch raised her hands and suddenly a force just as powerful as the one that the Advance Guard had faced, issued from Torch. Harry heard a great rushing sound as something came charging at him. He opened his eyes and saw that a green wave of force came pelting towards him, and before he knew what was happening, he felt very heavy, so heavy that he could no longer stay airborne. Once in the cushioned ground he tried with all his might to stay standing but his legs gave away immediately and he had trouble breathing.
‘Don’t worry Harry;’ Torch was saying five minutes later ‘all first lessons are worst. Anyway, its not like Occlumency, it only gets better and once your use to it, it’ll flow like the river.
‘And how long until that?’ he murmured rubbing his knees.
‘About two more days.’
Harry groaned, Torch hastily added.
‘But as I told you it only gets better, so rub that grimace off your face.’
They both got up and resumed. It was only after the fifth time that Harry felt positive about the whole thing.
‘Look Torch-I’m-standing. I-didn’t-fall-on-all-four!’ he said panting.
‘Oh, very good!’ said Torch delighted.
‘Yes. But-I-think that’s enough-for-today.’
‘Yeah, maybe your right.’
So after 15 minutes when Harry had the full use of his breathing, they headed for the Gryffindor common room.
‘Acromania.’ Torch said to the fat lady who swung forward to reveal a whole in the wall through which they climbed in.
‘Well see you tomorrow then.’ Torch said to Harry.
‘Yeah, good night.’
‘Night.’
And they both went back to their separate dormitories.
*
‘Is that all you can do Torch?’ said Harry smirking.
‘That’s what you think! Wait a sec while I power up!’
It was two days later and at the end of Torch and Harry’s Suv les ru oyt sur’t lesson of the day. Harry had improved just like Torch had predicted and was having quite some fun as well, he can not only finally tolerate Torch’s rushing power at him but was also having a contest of who is the strongest, and he was also delighted when Torch had said that they can finally build the shield from tomorrow.
‘See what you can make out of this,’ she was saying now and a split second later another wave of force rushed towards Harry. Harry opened his eyes a few seconds later and saw that Torch was slumped faced down on the floor. He got down and rushed over to her. ‘Torch.’ He prodded, but she didn’t move. He turned her over, she looked a bit sweaty and when he touched her he saw that she was stone cold. He panicked then he pulled out his wand and thrust it at Torch’s chest. ‘Enervate!’ he muttered.
Torch opened her eyes and slowly sat down.
‘Are you ok?’ Harry asked her.
‘It’s just that I’ve rarely powered up that much before.’ she said shakily.
‘I think we’re done for today.’ He said firmly. Torch nodded.
‘Yeah, your right.’
‘Do you need help getting up?’
‘No, I’m alright.’ She said and tried to get up but immediately fell down.
Five minutes later they had reached the staircase on the Great Hall that led to the Gryffindor Tower, with Torch leaning heavily against Harry.
‘Are you alright?’ Harry asked concerned as Torch started to shiver.
‘I think it-w-would b-best I-if-we-sat down-for-a-w-while.’ She said through short breathings.
They sat down at the foot of the stairs. The whole place seemed to be deserted. Suddenly Torch started shaking violently, Harry panicked.
‘What’s wrong!’
‘So-so cold.’
Harry moved closer to her and seizing her, had her in a tight hug. Harry’s own body seemed to freeze at the coldness of Torch’s flesh. Nevertheless. He tried to give her the warmth he had. She continued to shiver and Harry might’ve thought it was the end of Torch’s era in this world if she hadn’t stopped shaking 20 minutes later. Her body seemed to warm up again and she sat there with her ears against Harry’s chest, listening to his heartbeat. Her br4eathing seemed to turn normal and she appeared calm, but it was a further five minutes before she disentangled herself from Harry.
‘Oh, thank you so much Harry.’ She said looking at him ‘I really needed that.’
‘Hey it’s the least that I can do after all those things that you’ve doing for me. All those nights progression must’ve been really hard for a girl.’
‘You like action don’t you Harry?’
‘Yup!’
‘You’re a wild boy Harry! She said laughing ‘ you know most people in your place would’ve been contend doing it twice every week!’
‘Yeah, but not me.’ He said in a wicked voice.
‘Yeah I s’pose you can say that.’
‘You were pretty wild tonight too you know.’
‘I wouldn’t have been if you hadn’t been teasing me!’
‘If I hadn’t you wouldn’t have come powerfully towards me.’
‘Yeah, and all thanks to you, I fainted!’
‘Must’ve been really painful for you when you were coming towards me like that.’
‘Yeah it was and next time I’d prefer to do it gently.’
‘Lucky we were doing it over soft cushions.’
‘Yeah lucky. Can you imagine what would happen if people caught us in the act?’
She asked.
‘I shudder to think about it.’
‘But aren’t you glad we are doing it?’
‘Oh yes of course,’ Said Harry ‘this is my first time, and I’m sure people would remember if it was their first time.’
‘Uh-huh. This is my first time too.’
‘Yes and what’s better than spending your three wild nights with Harry Potter?’
‘Ha Ha, I forgot how to laugh.’ She said bleakly.
‘But I’m lucky too, to have the company of perhaps the most prettiest girl in the whole of universe.
They looked at each other and a second later burst out laughing.
‘We should really be get going.’ Said Torch when she finally recovered.
‘Yeah, I think so too; its already 10 past 10-if Filch catches all of our necks will be on the line.
As their voices trailed away, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle finally emerged from behind the giant statue they had been hiding on. All three of them are now convinced that Harry and Torch had been having sex; and while Crabbe and Goyle were exchanging gleeful looks that here at last was a rumour that they could spread in no time all, Malfoy however was looked very paler than usual and was completely devastated at the fact that Torch had spent three wild nights with Harry.
‘And how she called him a “wild boy”!’ he thought miserably and angrily ‘And to think that she had been de-virginalised by none other than Potter! The famous Potter! The Potter who had been tormenting me ever since I met him! The Potter who had humiliated me in front of thousands of peoples many, many times! And now he comes and steal away the only girl I ever wanted so badly in my life!’
That night as Malfoy went to bed the only other thing he could think about is why on the earth he had agreed with Crabbe and Goyle to sneak food from the kitchen, which was beside the Great Hall. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have heard the wretched conversation between Torch and Potter. He finally fell asleep contemplating hideous revenges on Harry.
