Black Friday Sales!

...and for anyone that doesn't know, "Black Friday" is the day after Thanksgiving where store have doorbuster sales with insane prices.

Case in point, Best Buy has 24: Season 1 for $12. Target will have South Park Season 4 for $17.77, etc etc.

last year i went out on black friday for the first time...usually i avoid the crouds but this time it was worth it . we went to Wal-Mart to get our daughters trampoline . it was normally a $189 and we got it for $77 and some change .

i have to say though....unless its really worth it...dont go....i was nearly trampled by a group of men & women (by group i mean like 50 or more). i was in between them and the DvD players that were being sold for $33 . there was a fight in there over a tv set that was normally $497 , being sold for $120...last one there and 2 ladies got into a fight over it....Wal-Mart security work for their pay that day .

I agree 100%. I will not let commerce control when and where I spend my money. People who shop the weekend after Thanksigiving are just controlled by what society tells them to do.

I worked at Babbage's at our local mall as a manager a few years back. When a 60 year old grandma flipped me off for not having a PS2 in stock, that is when I knew Christmas shopping was officially evil.

I will go to work, sell beer(that is my current job), and avoid stores like Black Death. Hmm....maybe that is why it is Black Friday?!

Because businesses stop being unprofitable (in the red) and start making serious money (being in the black). Or so I've heard.

Watching the live-news right now. Man, the traffic lines for all malls are about 2 miles long. A crazy day indeed.

Got dragged shopping this morning.

At one store we were in the goddamn checkout line for an hour. I do NOT have enough patience to wait in a checkout line for fifteen minutes, let alone an hour.

But hey, I got a new coat that normally was $180 for $50...

i just got back from best buy. got some dvd's and afterglow controllers for my ps2 and xbox. it wasn't that bad. i caught the tail end of it. most people were done. and there was no traffic! no traffic in southcoast plaza! 😱

Yeah i was at Best Buy too and it wasn't bad at all.
