It seems OK, the theme...not really expanding on Venom's experiences too much.
__Hmm...Toxin has a more talkative "Other" than Venom, but he refers to himself in the singular. His sym is a mere spawn, but it's familiar with Western culture (enough to have pronounced ideas about what it wants to explore in literature), ...it's a god-damn prodigy! Pat IS a fantastic "parental" figure, then. So why'd he abandon his baby?
__I don't hate it, but it's just another, severe inconsistency in the presentation of symbiotes.
__Why was the Venom Symbiote so clueless about human social customs and moral values, if syms can absorb all this info so readily? Why did it always seem to find Eddie's explanations necessary? Why was Red passive and non-talkative, as a spawn, if they're born with such complete personas?
__I'll go pick it up and see what I think of the action, the villains. Most importantly, I'll see if there are any signs that the theme may distinguish itself from Jekyll and Hyde...otherwise, I'll just go check the book out at the librairy!
