The DS will be exactly like the GC.... In time we will see.Actually, Nintendo had begun development of the DS in the same year they were finishing the GC. And I find it funny that you all already say that the GC is dead. Because, you see, that's not what I've heard. Especially considering that both Metroids, Wind Waker, and Super Smash Bothers: Melee are among the best games out there. The one continuity that I find is that when a really good game comes out for a Nintendo system, X-Box owners grab onto any scrap of supposed "something" that makes it bad, and fight with that tooth and nail. Similar to how Nintendo fanboys ridicule KOTOR and Halo without actually playing them.
Realy thats not wat i heard but let me fill u in on the psp. At its thickest its about 23mm and it weighs about 260g. It has dual shock control, and an analouge stick. Its widescreen, the graphics can easily be compared to that of the ps2 and a USB 2.0 for hardware and peripherals, ye know digital camera, headphones/mic remote commander, keyboard and probably gps device. Also a memory stick port for storing data game saves but u can store music, movies and other things ( 😈 ) And of course u can download via its WI FI network connectivity turning it into an online gaming machine enabling u to play people all over the world and infrared for people in the same room.
I dont know how pixel chat, touch screen and N64 graphics can compare with that
I think you would be taken so much more seriously if you took the time to spell your words correctly, and to find something with relevance. A widescreen, eh? And this is important because? Need I remind you that compared to its predecessor, the GBA has a "widescreen" as well? It doesn't make much of a difference unless the games you play are actually programmed for widescreen play (which doesn't really seem much of a gameplay plus.)
Graphics easily compared to the PS2? I'm sorry, but the PSP is JUST ABOUT the mid-point between the PS1 and the PS2. And the DS has graphics on par with the N64? Looking at it in my hand right now (The Metroid Hunters demo, to be exact) These graphics are JUST ABOUT the mid-point between the 64 and the GC.
I've not heard anything concrete about what the USB port will actually be used for, so that may have some merit.
A digital camera peripheral is currently being planned for the DS, but it really makes little sense for either system, because everyone I know has a digital camera already. And a handheld GAMING system is kinda meant for, you know, GAMES?
The DS also has headphones and a built-in mic. As for the keyboard and GPS device? All I can say is "What the hell?" The DS doesn't need a keyboard, as it has the PDA-like ability to recognize writing. And every keyboard I've seen that's small enough to be portable is still clunky, and doesn't work very well in any case.
A memory stick is not needed for game saves on the DS, since it uses carts for games. While the carts don't store as much info as discs, carts mean NO load times while playing, which is KINDA important if you really ARE gaming on-the-go.
The DS also features WI-FI connectivity, meaning over-the-'net gameplay and the same sorts of downloads.
