Former username PMs

I used a coarse sieve through the Changing your username thread and i could not find anything that suits my quiery. So i am starting a new thread that you may close or in the case of keep, transfer to the changing username thread.

My question is:

If the old username is goodbye are also the PMs contained therein ?

No, each user has a userid that never changes, which all your PMs and posts are linked to.

the Inbox PM of the former username is not displaying me the old PMs of the former username and i am setting it to Show messages from: The beginning.

Not that its important but i was just wondering were they went
