He's doing a cheap trick that sucky leaders use all the time: focus on something/create something so the attention gets drawn to it and away from his sucky qualities.
I suspect Bush has less than the average intelligence. There's many components of intelligence, but given the fact that he has a stunning lack of language ability, the "average" of his respective assessments would REALLY suffer.

Hitler was an idiot. He invaded the Rhineland, like stealing a cookie when your mother tells you not to. Then he took on the world, backstabbed the Russians, and in the end killed himself as the Red Army and U.S. Army descended on him. Not just an idiot, but a dumbass.
I don't know why people hate Bush. We got rid of Saddam, who tortured people constantly and so on. Hell, more people die on drugs than in this war. Yes, it sucks that they die, of course! But it doesn't make Bush a bad President.

Well, when he went into Poland despite warnings, that was a lil stupid. But in his defence Britain and France had issued the same warning when he wanted czechoslovakia, and then we did nothing....
We let him get away with too much, let his confidence grow and had to pay the price.
