King Kong (2005)

Man! I think I am from Sigapour!!!

I wonder what Kong did with the previous native girls that were sacrificed to him. We saw their skeletons all over the floor. Probably ended their own lives or Kong killed them by accident?

Kong ate them, that's the point of them having a sacrifice for him.

Does anyone know where I can find the spider pit scene in the 1933 version? I just rented it yesterday but apparently the scene was cut out for being tool gruesome.

uhhh, u cant.

They didn't save the unused film for the dvd-special release in those days you know.

I don't think the spider pit scene was ever intended to be in the 1933 version.

great movie

That scene wasn't in the original version. as you said it was cut because it was too gruesome.

HERE IT IS GUYS...the missing scene we were all discussing before. These are some of the gruesome scenes the 1933 version cut out when shown in theaters. Pretty horrific for its time, i guess.

ENJOY!

I don't blame you for not scrolling through each page to find this. I hope it's still on YouTube.com

I really wanna see this movie again.

I loved the move i didnt expect much so when i saw it i was surprised it had a nice fresh put on it and king kong looked so real and naomi she did a good although i didnt like her teeth to much it made her look child like but it could just be me...

I cried at the end.

Lots of people found the relationship between Kong and Anne was leaning a bit on the romantic side but I never felt that.

They went ****ing ice skating. The biggest flaw of the movie, aside from making it unnecessarily long, was trying to humanize King Kong to the point where you forget he's an ape, and shooting for some borderline beastiality. There were tons of examples of overkill in this movie, both visually and emotionally.

I found it added greatly to the emotional side. What would Ann build her romance of sorts with Kong, the fact that he saved her life many times?

I think the humanity part was sort of cute.

There were so many things wrong with this movie.

As CA mentioned above, the relationship between Kong and Anne was ridiculous. Put her on her feet, push her over, laugh hysterically. Anne dances like an idiot. I don't understand why people praise this movie so much but bashes the '70s version, which is better in every way. Wait... I do understand, because it's Peter Jackson. He can sh*t in a bowl and it'll make $300 million just because his name is attached to it.

With all respect to above opinions, I thought the movie was great. It's in my favorites list.

People don't understand why the film is so different, stretched, and exaggerated. Without taking into consideration that this is 'Peter Jacksons King Kong'.

Their relationship was essential in order to make the point of the film, we had to care about Kong and we were meant to see the beauty in him that Anne saw, but that no one else did. They achieved this about as good as they could.

The only thing that I felt was over done was some of the long looks between them, did that a bit too much, overplayed it. But their relationship as a whole was fine. Had no problem with it and it added too the emotional impact of the ending.

Yeah, when a big name director does a remake, they want to make it their own (Tim Burton). I'm not comparing it with either King Kong before it, well, other than saying the other two were far superior. The graphics were terrible and there were so many scenes that are better just left out, making it shorter and more barable to watch in a single sitting.

And as for the ending, Jack Black's "It was beauty that killed the beast," seemed really forced. It may be just me but it felt like Jackson had forgotten to add that line into the script and at the end of production, was like "Hey, Jack, do this for me real quick!"

If my sources are correct, I believe it was Fay Wray who was intended to do the line. Before she passed away in '04.
