A cartoon isn't art? What are you smoking, virtually anything can be art, a body, a design on a car, even charts of the cycle of a pimple were done by animation graduates. Ignorance radiates from thou.

Art? are you serious? A cartoon is not art. A painting is art. A peice of music is art. A ballet is art. I'd go so far as to say a signature is art. But a cartoon? That is not art.

Dear lord, art is simply an expression, cooking is an art too, you knew that right? Culinary art?
Of course I knew about culinary art, i'm sorry I couldn't list every type in my last post.
However, I see no expression in her sig. I see a copied and pasted image.
And I don't see how a cartoon has expression. A cartoon is made for entertainment and to get high reveiws so the director and the writing and drawing staff will make money. Cartoons are not an expression of the writing staff's feelings, neither are the images an expression of the cartoonists. They are hired to create a storyboard that will sell.
the cartoon is based on the manga. and is mad for the people who apreciate the manga. there are lots of art that makes money. just because it does doesn't mean its not art. and i draw paint among other things i know art so does the other guy
im sorry that you can't apreciate what constitutes art. you are very narrowminded in your views. just because you don't like sonething does not mean that it is not art.

Firstly, i don't know what a "manga" is, but it sounds like a comic strip, which is also designed to sell.
A peice of art is made in reflection of what the astist is feeling. If it is sold, yay for the artist, not only can they express themselves through something visual, but it can also make money.
Your "manga" was made first with the intention to make money. It wasn't an original expression of the artist (though some cartoons are, but for the sake of my argument, I'm assuming it isn't), it was an idea hatched up by someone in a tight spot who needed a paycheck and who could draw.
