The question for the idol is a different one though... a favourite character doesn't necessarily have to be an idol and vice-versa;
For example, Túrin and Witchy are two of my favourite characters, but I'd certainly not call them idols, in contrary to for instance Morwen or Yavanna who are something like idols, but no favourite characters of mine.
