Speaking of school

I dropped just over a grand(!) on back to school stuff for my youngest today.
On the one hand, i'm glad i can afford to get him all the stuff he wants for the year (clothes shoes backpack misc. doodads) and actually needs (school supplies as per a list sent out, to include memory stcks and a frikkin tiny laptop that'll stay at the school), but i'm amazed at whats required.
Back in my day a few pens/pencils and a 3 ring binder was standard. Jeez!

^ It's insane. I don't know how we haven't been roped into paying the utilities for the schools they attend. lol

Unpopular opinion; take a little bit of the budget out of the military machine and toss it at Education, profit.

TV in the computer room went out, thinking about getting a 42" to replace it.

Went with a 55" wall mounted deal.

Mandms mcflurry and chocolate chip cookies from McDonalds which I ate last night while watching the rest of the tales from the crypt movie about persons that are all doomed to burn in Hell.

Went down to Costco and got 30 cases of various Chunky soups. If WWIII is going to kick off I wanna be mildly prepared.

It's not even pain, it's this annoying tickle, like you always want to clear your throat but nothing happens.
