Crusade- Expedition
The title of last crusade does not imply the last film. Even though the dialogue at the end sort of does. The title just goes along with the subject matter of the film. Crusade is a holy expedition.
Having another Indy flick could be a great idea. I wouldnt mind seeing another adventure film that revolves around character and story, rather than thrills and chills. We all know that Indiana Jones has plenty of thrills and chills and the movies wouldnt be anything without them, but in these films, the characters and story comes first. Having Indy doing al those unbelievable feats that he does would still be realistic inside the realm of movie reason. As long as the story is solid and takes his age into consideration i am sure it would be a damn good movie, but yeah, theres always a possibility that it will fail dissapointingly.
First let us take a moment to really think about this, Indiana Jones is an Adventure Movie plan and simple, and in the last movies that Ford has done there was never any mention that the last movie was the last one that would be made.
The timing of the film is right on target with other movies that are coming out in the next five years and I think that everyone is going to be surprised at this when it happens.
Indiana Jones is like Tomb Raiders and there is a lot of adventures that come from these movies. If they do make a 4th movie then I would not be surprised at all.
Well I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this film and have done some digging.
From what I can gather Spielberg, Lucas and Ford are all in. Darabont (Shawshank) wrote a script that Lucas canned. There is no official title. Atlantis is rumoured to be involved, however, this is merely based on the 1992 Lucasfilm game that some fans called Indy IV in hope of seeing it brought to the screen.
Lucas said in December that the new script was going well, that he'd been trying to think of an idea for 6 years and thinks he has a good one. He doesn't want to share it with anyone.
Apparently Spielberg is set to film "Vengeance" in summer of 2005, which seems to make a summer 2006 release date for Indy IV very doubtful, although Spielberg did dump a film in order to make "The Last Crusade."
Basically there is nothing concrete decided. Booooo.

'INDIANA JONES: RAIDERS OF THE FALLEN EMPIRE
the film, currenlty in pre production is said involve Indy discovering an ancient civilisation hidden deep in the americas.
wild fan speculation had thought that the new film would be called 'INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE SUN' whilst others beleived it to be called 'INDIANA JONES AND THE LOST PROPHETS
The film is due 2008
