Well, generally you'd be restrained- by bondage or by command to assume a particular position and hold it. That's specific to the play partners and the scene. You may want to...ah...protect certain parts with your hand. Not that I'm careless with a whip...but the women here, they look VICIOUS (I'm quite scared).
