Oh, okay!! Here goes:
Emily walked slowly down the path, her dress draging along in the dirt. Her beautiful red hair draped her shoulders in elegant curls. A beautiful ameythyst encrusted crown lay crooked upon her head.
"Emily!" a voice yelled from somewhere in the distance. "Emily!"
She kept walking, trying not desperately not to cry. 'I will not, I will not.' she told herself.
"Emily, wait up!" the voice was right behind her. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and didn't resist when it pulled her around. She stared into that cute face, the face of Marlin, and couldn't hold back any longer. She leaned into him and let her tears flow.
"Wha-" he stuttered, surprised. Quickly regaining his composure he pulled her close. "What's wrong?"
"I can't take it. It's just too much!" Emily wailed.
"I know Emily... I know." Marlin whispered, hugging her tight.
"Why... why did this happen?" she murmured.
Marlin lifter her chin so that he was looking into her beautiful eyes. He wiped her cheeks dry and answered.
"Everything happens for a reason. I guess it was just his time."
Tears leaked out of Emilys eyes, as she relived the horrible moment. She had been dancing with Marlin at the Ball, when a yell had sounded from across the hall. She had rushed over as fast as she could, to find Cribby, sweet, wonderful old Cribby, lying on the floor. She had tried with all her might to help him, but it had been no use. Cribby was gone.
"Marlin, I-" Emily began, coming back to the present. But just that moment, he pressed his lips to hers.
As he pulled away he said, "There was nothing you could do Emily. Nothing."
She stood in a shocked silence, eyes open wide. Marlin pulled her close, held on to her. Emily felt safe in his arms, and leaned into his chest.
"Come on," he said after a few miniutes had passed. "Lets go back."
