Graduation gown hire

This is for all those who have had to hire a gown for a graduation ceremony; what did you pay?

I've been quoted £35 for cap and gown hire, but some people at work said they'd had to pay up to £250 just for the day!! 😱

I haven't got the heart to tell them how much I'm hiring mine for!

Mine (in Manchester) was around £50.

For 250, they presumably get to keep the gowns?

I'm not attending my graduation ceremony (its SO cliché), but it's $60 for a disposable gown (cap included) and $300 for keepsake gown (hat included). 😖mart:

£25 for me. I was pissed at having to pay that, feel a bit better now.

The event is hardly for your fun Tex, but for your family/loved ones.

Although I'll probably get drunk afterwards, so everyone's a winner...
