Well, the live-forever is appealing. But I think that unless the pharmaceutical companies and physicians can come up with a way of slowing the age-process it won’t be much fun. But a couple of hundred years I could do – ageing appropriately, too.
My great-grandmother died a few years ago, at the ripe old age of 108. Her body was slowly deteriorating, but her mind was sharp until the end. Eventually she wished for death, saying she had lived her life. So she would sit up at night in her rocking-chair, content, and sing some songs…
Then she just died in her sleep.
That’s how I’d like to go. Content with the life I’d lived. Happy with what I did, what I dared and what I experienced. Feeling “okay” about my mistakes and ready to die.
How do you want to die?
Relatively most people have some idea how they would like to end their mortal existence on this planet. Some would like to go quietly in their sleep while others would prefer to 'kick the bucket' while making love. My own personal preference though would have to be 'Death By Curry'. To find a curry so hot and so mean that it would render me lifeless on the spot. Either that or on the toilet passing a babies arm the next morning!
