It makes me angry that someone who is fine with releasing the shit they play and calling it music listens to Tool... I don't know why, but it always pisses me off to see idiots like that listening to good music. I saw a cheerleader showing off "Thirteenth Step" to her friends the other day and I felt like smashing her CD player with a crowbar, then dousing it in gasoline and burning it just to be safe. It's hard to explain why that makes me so mad, but I think there are probably others who know what I'm talking about at least a little bit...

No I totally feel you, it's the exact same thing with me. I know it's completely wrong and snobbish, but I can't help it. I used to take my 12 year-old cousin to (mostly godawful) gigs every few months a while back, and I would just get so angry when I saw say, New Found Glory getting out of their van wearing Sex Pistols shirts. I kind of think, well surely it's a good thing because those superior bands will be having a good effect on them right? But the other side of me thinks, they don't deserve to lick the greasy floor of Sid Vicious' old bathroom, let alone listen to his music.
