who likes country music

I grew up on country, while it's not my favorit gener of music, it's not that bad. I could name you a bazzilion country songs and singers and could probably sing along with most country songs. I'd rather listen to my music but country seeps in from time to time and I enjoy it. A lot of people who ditch country without giving it a second thought (not everyone) haven't realy heard much country in their lives to begine with.

AOR... Adult (or Album!) Oriented Rock... think Boston, Rainbow, REO Speedwagon, Toto, Bon Jovi, etc, etc.... Bryan Adams is the soft end, Guns and Roses the hard end...

old country is a good think to like (cash, h.williams, elvis), but new country, i really cant stand.

Is elvis country? I don't think elvis is true country in the typical "nashville" sense. I always just pictured him as rock n roll with a country vibe.

Elvis isn't country in the way that Husker Du and Dinosaur Jr weren't punk. he used country as one of the platforms to base his music, but it wasn't the ONLY one. Hank Williams, Sr, now THAT'S country. Merle haggard, johnny cash, willie nelson.

i like Psychobilly, the sound that bands like Necromantix have. dont like "country music" per say.
