Thanos vs. Superman & Thor

It's not that he lacked it, but that Thanos couldn't use it as he was still regaining his mental faculties.

The two notions aren't mutually exclusive. Thanos likely got an amp from frolicking around with Death -- treating Mar-Vell like a flea after what Mar-Vell did to Adam Magus, Nova and SS is pretty impressive. However, before Thanos reached his full capabilities, it's easy to see that he wasn't all there mentally. Thanos' mental defence has always been top notch -- Nate Grey, Moondragon etc. An anti-matter attack basically works by molecular disintegration coupled with large releases of energy -- exactly something which Thanos needed his molecular control to survive, which he wouldn't have had in his mental state.

like that i guess

I don't think there is something pointing out at Thanos being destroyed because he lacked of molecular control -compared with other incarnations of the character-; althought I agree the weapon used was meant to destroy/disintegrate any kind of matter including something uber durable such as Thanos.

it doesnt have to be spelled out for you... that is common sense... it was stated thanos was both physically weaker n mentally weak along with lower durability as stated on panel... if ur not mentally there n it takes mental control to keep ur molecules together.. u needed them to spell it out for you?

If Thanos can beat Marvell just a few minutes after being destroyed by Drax I wouldn't think he's operating a whole lot under his classic levels, maybe -and that's speculation- he's not at full power but he certainly has enough power to exert some limited molecular control that much is clear.

Thanos has always been on a whole other level than the two he's pitted up against here in this thread. Marvell is a heavy hitter and Thanos tossed him around like a ragdoll.
