"Jedi training, the sole source of self-discipline is not"
Sorry? I seriously cannot belive that is a Yoda line. It is TOO mixed.
Too F@*king right. If you're a proper SW fan, you develop an ear for the sometimes good sometimes ropey dialogue. That sure don't sound like Yoda speaking to me, thus rendering the whole thing questionable

According to spoilers.... Yoda has been talking to Qui-Gon's ghost for 13 years... so maybe Yoda is starting to realize what Qui-Gon has known all along....
I just recently read the EP.2 novelization...in the scene where Anakin slays the Tuskans and we hear Qui-gon...that's the 1st time Yoda hears him too. Yoda is extremely surprised to hear that voice. He does not know how it's possible
This has probably been posted here somewhere but I can't find it so...
Some more from LOE - not strictly speaking anything Spoileriffic about them, but this does reveal quite a lot about Obi/Ani's relationship and the Jedi stance on Ani's "chosen one " status:
Obi-Wan frowned sympathetically. "You can't afford to miss her in that way."
"And exactly what way is that, Master?"
"Because you cannot be married to both."
"Who said anything about marriage? She's a friend. I miss her as a friend!"
"You would forgo your destiny for Padme?"
Anakin's brows beetled in anger. "I never claimed to be the Chosen One. That was Qui-Gon. Even the Council doesn't believe it anymore, so why should you?"
"Because I think you believe it," Obi-Wan said calmly. "I think you know in your heart that you're meant for something extraordinary."
[cont]
"And you, Master. What does your heart tell you you're meant for?"
"Infinite sadness," Obi-Wan said, even while smiling.
--------
Upon finding out that Coruscant is being invaded after he agrees to stay on Tythe with no arm bending by Obi.
Anakin shot Obi-Wan an embittered look and began to storm away.
"Anakin," Obi-Wan said, following his footsteps.
Anakin whirled on him. "We were wrong to come here, Master. I was wrong to come here. It was all a feint, and we fell for it. We are being kept away from Coruscant, I can feel it."
Obi folded his arms across his chest. "You wouldn't be saying that if we had captured Dooku."
"But we didn't, Master. That's what counts And now no communication with Coruscant? You don't even see it, do you?"
[cont]
Obi-Wan regarded him carefully. "See what, Anakin?"
Anakin started to speak, the cut himself off, a new fire in his eyes. "You're my best friend. Tell me what I should do. Forget for a moment that you're wearing the robes of a Jedi and tell me what I should do!"
Stung by the gravity in Anakin's voice, Obi-Wan fell silent for a moment, then said: "The force is our ally, Anakin. When we're mindful of the force, our actions are in accord with the will of the force. Tythe wasn't a wrong choice, its just that we're ignorant of its import in the greater scheme."
Anakin lowered his head in sadness. "You're right, Master. My mind isn't as fast as my lightsaber." He stared at his artificial limb. "My heart isn't as imperveous to pain as my right hand."
[cont]
Obi-Wan felt as if someone had knotted his insides. He had failed his apprentice and closest friend. Anakin was suffering and the only balm he offered were Jedi platitudes. His body heaved a shuddering breath.
up until quigon's voice in ep2, has there ever been any force user who has become a ghost when they have died?
perhaps that was plagueis's secret - he learnt the secret to becoming a ghost, hence 'cheating death', as he is not really dead as such. but palps killed him before he could fully understand it.....
is cheating death meant to be 'prolonging life' or 'becoming a ghost rather than dying'?
but then if the secret was becoming a ghost, i suppose the jedi would have to have found out somehow........
maybe im just getting a little too excited aout all these rumours.
not really EP III specific, but certainly related:
LOE implies a few more general things through the course of the book...just stuff that has been brought to my attention by someone who has a copy already...
Obi and Yoda are gravitating closer to QGJ's POV.
Obi in particular, spending so much time with Ani, spends a lot of the novel pondering Ani's "chosen one" status.
After one particularly daring but reckless incident from Ani (I'm thinking along teh lines of the traffic stunt from AOTC), Obi begins to question if Ani can die at all; if the Force will even let him die before the Prophecy has been fulfilled.
He starts to warm to QGJ's request to train Ani and begins to wonder what the Force wants form the Jedi. Are they to protect Ani at all costs? Even if that means sacrificing all other Jedi that Ani may live?
By contrast, Mace is less convinced, and is apparantly losing interest in the whole "chosen one" thing!
He is unimpressed when Obi and Ani end up wrecking a space station during one mission.
"It's Anakin, Obi-Wan is becoming his partisan."
To which Yoda replies "If the Chosen One he is, then we should care not how many stations are demolished."
Also, LOE features more Yoda/QGJ dialogue.
QGJ tells Yoda that there are more secrets to the Force than the Jedi are aware of, and the Jedi do not see the full picture.
Yoda begins to "probe" the Force, meditating on what would have happened if the Sith had found the chosen one - he contemplates whether the chosen one could be turned. And the Force abruptly slams the door shut on his vision!
The chosen one and the prophecy are placed in the context of the Dark Side frequently in the book - from Dooku's POV.
He is sure the Dark Side has been closing in on the Jedi all along.
He believes the Force has been biding it's time until one powerful enough to bring government in hand has been born and trained (implying he sees Palpatine as his "chosen one"!). He sees the events from the time of TPM as a catalogue of disasters and believes the Jedi have truely lost their way and are no longer listening to the Force.
Again the person I got this info from is a little vague, but it is implied that when the chosen one comes - the s**t is gonna hit the fan! Dooku sees this already happening.
Yoda is trying to work out what exactly will "go down" and QGJ prompts him to "trust the Force."

"master" is also used to show respect, haven't you heard Obi Wan saying "master yoda" "master sifo-dyas" "master windu", and none of them has been his master, except for yoda when obi wan was a kid.
good point mate. & Labrynth Of Evil sounds like it'll be a top read, good stuff !!
Labyrinth of Evil is gonna be an awesome book... from what I have heard it is gonna kick serious ass... like a confrontation between GG and a high ranking Jedi Master ala Spiderman 2 (on top of a train??) This novel is gonna be an incredible leadin to ROTS..... I hope these rumors I have heard are true...
how much information has the writer of this book been privy to?.....has he been shown the script in order to prepare for the book for example.....'cause there are some nice ideas mentioned above.....but are they just that, or is there some official connection that would place these ideas closer to spoiler material?.....interesting reading either way....thanks solar.....

I wish that were in ROTS...
