Maybe he was testing Luke's reaction to such a brush off...
To ascertain how determined to stick to it he was...
The Shaolin monks would make you wait for days/weeks outside their temple proving your enthusiasm/respect for the training(Like in 'Fight club'😉,
Yoda was still probably testing Luke in this kind of way,
still requiring further verification from Obi-Wan on the subject,
and Yoda's stance on training Luke probably changed after he saw that it was train him or train Leia.... as this was the best possible way of getting Palps the hell out of there.. Especially after years of meditation on it and possibly consulting Qui-Gonn for all this time/ and or realising fully Luke's connection in the Anakin/Prophecy....

Ternian posted this new dialogue in the MF.com message boards, http://www.millenniumfalcon.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3112
Here it is:

YODA
My failure, this was. Failed the Jedi, I did.

*

YODA
A moment, Master Kenobi. In your solitude on Tatooine, training I have for you. I and my new Master.

OBI-WAN
Your new Master?

YODA
Yes. And your old one...

*

MON MOTHMA
All right. Then Terr Taneel would be my next choice. And, I
think, Amidala of Naboo.

BAIL ORGANA
Padme? I am not sure.

MON MOTHMA
You know her better than I do, Bail, but to my mind she is exactly
the type of Senator we need. She is intelligent, principled, extremely
articulate, and she has the heart of a warrior.

BAIL
She is also a longtime associate of Palpatine. He was her ambassador during her term as Queen of Naboo. How sure can you be that she will stand with us, and not with him?

MON MOTHMA
There's only one way to find out.

Yay! i beated baily!!!!!!!!

This is a great day! new webdoc, new spoiler report, new trailer pic! It keeps getting better all the time.

has anyone else considered the possibility that yoda was listening to qui gonn and not obi wan in esb....you know, when refusing to train luke, and keeps looking up at the ceiling....or both of them.....

New from MF.com

On the bridge of the Invisible Hand, the situation is getting rough. Anakin and Obi-Wan have just chopped MagnaGuards, super battle droids and droidekas and General Grievous decides it's time to say goodbye.

"I am sorry I don't have time to fight you," says the General, "it would have been an interesting match - but I have an appointment with an escape pod. And you . . . You, have appointments with death."

He shoots a hook into a panel support, ignites the electrostaff and throws it at the viewport. The transparisteel window is broken and a huge gust of wind blows the general out in space. The emergency shutters seal the bridge shut.

Using a cable to go back to the outer hull and, using his magnetized feet/claws, he crawls to the external hatch of the only bridge escape pod.

Unfortunately, the rest of the escape pods he smartly ejected before leaving - that is why Anakin has to land the crumbling cruiser on Coruscant; there is no other option.

"Juicey, Junior....Reallll Juicy" ✅

Nice find Baily.... Sounds cool..... 🙂

Cool

Tidbit from Tern

Han Solo was suppose to be in RotS. You'll see the concept art in the upcoming Art of book. He was suppose to be raised by Chewbacca on Kashyyyk.

cool. thanks for the info.

is that true?

Grievous goes outside? Wouldn't the pressure kill him? I know he's mostly droid, but wouldn't his eyes get sucked out or something?

Just a guess of course, but maybe its because by the time he bails out, He and the ship are in the upper atmosphere of the planet as opposed to actual space, and therefore space-decompression might not then apply....

We are looking a galaxy where the ships make noise in space, and the explosions are huge fireballs were there is no air... why he has to be affected by decompression?

True.

Er thanx Dr Spock

Continuity is important... too bad every science fiction movie or TV show doesnt have it... think about how exciting the OSB would be without sound... there is no air in space for sound to travel.... God that would be soo boring... like watching Louis Anderson.... stupid non funny fat man!!!

LMFAO @ smoker 😆 🤣 😆

wouldnt there be at least a flicker of explosion though?..i mean theres obviously air inside the ships so if there was an explosion we would see something i think at least lol but not to the extent that we see in the star wars movies...or most movies for that matter

SOmething new:

EPISODE III CUT SCENES: A Helpful Han

Young Han Solo was requested by George Lucas for shooting in Revenge of the Sith. McCaig's costume design was approved by Lucas on the spot. Unlike the Han we know in the OT, the EpIII Han was conceived as a 'slob' by McCaig.

So what was Han's role?

In a conference room on Kashyyyk, Han Solo helped Yoda track down General Greivous. We were told in the script that Han was being raised by Chewbacca.
