it was 12 degrees with a windchill factor of -2 degrees when i sent my daughters to school this morning...

and as far as snow...i live on the coast of North Carolina and its our school board/county policy that if there is a Threat of snow...school is canceled for the day....the forecast only has to threaten snow and my monsters get a snow day .
