Okay, in the first series it passes over a period of 10(i think), so when Lief becomes king he is approxmintly 16 and 10 months.
When the next series starts, he's around 17, as I'm guessing a 2-3 months have passed.
It takes him another months to probally get to the Shadowlands from there.
In series 3, he is between 17 1/2 and 18, and by estimate it took him about 4- 6 months to get rid of the Four sisters.
its the spring time after he gets rid of the sisters, that he and Jasmine get married.
So the books, from Book 1 series 1, too book 4 series 3, time passes over about 3-4 years.
(Hope that clears up a bit.)

Its a great read, and it looks like a great movie.
