Yeh, black hair, mauve-ish eyes.... if he wasn't an evil prick, then I'd say he looks a bit dreamy (for an anime character). But he defiantly suits the character.... he looks so Innocent to me.
He kinda looks what I originally pictured Lief to look like. There's a profile pic on http://www.tv-aichi.co.jp/deltora/ (fourth one down on the menu bar- has all the other major characters profile pics as well...)

I really need to catch up on watching it, I think the last one I saw was the fifth one 🙁

I looked at all the charecters, and the cool thing is was that I was able to name almost all of them without seeing them on the anime yet, or being able to read Japanese!

WOOH, Sand Beast Episode!! WOOOHH!! Almost half-way threw the series...

Well I'm kicking myself now. Only up to ep 4 on youtube and I've seen them, now I'll never catch up, or at least not catch up till like 2008.

i haven't been watching the eps only the previews.... gives us a good idea how far along they are...

this time next year if they aren't up in English or at least previewing the english version for series one something is wrong....
Since all they'd have to do to the anime is probally change how the mouths move a bit, so they move in time with the english voice actors... and maybe translate the japanese text in the actual cartoon to english...

so yeah... if you're reading this Emily Rodda, or Oriental Light and Magic...

You know, I was just reading Return to Del... and the only thing that bugs me about it being an anime...
Is that I can't be one of those crazy people and give a wild cheer as Lief puts on the completed Belt in the cinema, while everyone else is going WTF?

Still watching the episodes with someone who doesn't know Lief is the Heir will be funny too... cause I honestly thought it was Jasmine, until that moment. (Still, I have half-right she was the future queen of Deltora just not the Heir...)

Bah, I still need The Valley of the Lost and Return to Del. Heh, yeah, I'll probably spend most of the time watching for differences between the book and show.

I just hope it won't take to long for DQ to be out on DVD (in English)

1. Deltora Quest Anime Series of DVD (when it comes out)

Hey guess what they've placed the first and second series in like like special addition hard-cover books.

All the books of the series put in one big (almost HP5 size) book. DQ1 has a pic of the Del on the front, and DQ2 has the Shadowlands cover... DQ3 isn't out yet...
I'm going to try and buy them and donate them to my school, Cause they only have books 1,2,5,7 out of DQ1 and DQ2 set... and I'm sick of lending out my DQ stash to half of the school... one careless person split dark purple paint in my Dread Mountain book!! Can still read it... but still!

I've seen how they re-voice the anime at the Gathering of the Gargoyles. there is a screen in front of the voice actor with the scene are going to voice for. They hear three beeps, and where the fourth beep should be, they start talking, but they have to remember their lines, AND fit what they have to say in with how their charecter moves the lips. it is VERY difficult!

I never lend my books, mostly because no one asks for them but hey, keeps them from being wrecked.
I would have gotten the big combined books if I didn't already have all of series 2 and 70% of series 1.
Yeah being a voice actor for anime would be hard, but at least you don't have to look good for it.

I freak out when people wreck my books to a very noticeable extent (yes, I'm talking to you, CJ!)

does the Belt in the anime look like anything you guys pictured in your heads? it doesnt to me.

Nah, I always pictured the belt to look like the belt the had on the spines of the original books. The new one isn't all bad though.

i think it looks better to be honest....with the links between the talisman mounts it looks more realistic to be able to loop around a person's waist (it is after all metal...)

Yeah you do bring up a good point. Still, it sorta makes it harder to hide The Belt in a belt when it's lumpy like that.

Well they are tiny in the anime, I they were definitely larger then that in my mind.

then again, I havent gotten a chance to see the anime in a while, so maybe they arnt as big as I had remembered them. does Theagan look like she should be a rock star to you?

Unless of course in the book the trio meet a girl after the shifting sands that I'm not aware off....

And as Theagan was present in the last couple of minutes of the short... I think it will explain why they hinted she wasn't completely dead.
