i thought that Shadowgate was by far the best written DQ book and would make the best movie out of any book from any series.

If i were making movies from Series 1, i would group the books in this order:

movie 1:
Forests of Silence
Lake of Tears
City of Rats

movie 2:
Shifting Sands
Dread Mountain
Maze of the Beast

movie 3:
Valley of the Lost
Return to Del
