Deltora Quest Anime
ok, here's the important information from an article featuring an interview with Jenifer Rowe (Emily Rodda) i just found online:
Deltora Quest is selling in 30 countries, has been translated into 23 different languages - and as Jennifer confirmed for me - is now being made into a Japanese anime (think Astroboy) series.
At this point my ears had perked. She was speaking to an anime fan.
"We've had a few offers from Japan, and this one I was very taken with," she replied. "So far I've been looking at characters - (the production company Genco) send me stuff to approve on the internet. It's just so exciting."
It helps that Jennifer is an anime fan too. She has been over to Japan twice now, once on a publicity tour and once for creative meetings for the anime series.
"It's going to be based on the first eight books, and about 52 episodes. They're hoping it will be released in Japan next year. The idea is other language versions will follow," Jennifer said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "It was amazing seeing my characters in typical anime form, with the big eyes and spiky hair."
what do u all think? i am actually really excited about this! i just hope it doesnt take too long to get to the english speaking countries...
