Well any fan of a good franchise will naturally take a liking the the sequels (with the exception of Blade: Trinity). You apparently have more endurace than me; i just couldn't handle it... 😬

I'm actually excited about seeing this movie.

I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I thought it was good, it just could have been a lot better.

Of course it could've been better, but I liked it for what it was. Movies like these are for the fans. I personally haven't been this jittery about a DVD release since the ROTK: EE DVD.

I'm still shocked as to how they can make a movie about Aliens and Predators and it not be 18/R.

Easy: there was hardly any human blood. And they legally can't count creature blood as human blood. That's why on the MPAA Rating box it says "Rated PG-13 for violence, language, horror images, slime and gore"

Slime and gore is Alein and Predator blood...and drool...

Not really. A couple of Preds get impaled. They don't show too much gory detail, it's more implied.

i liked predator 2, but avp stunk so bad... dont think any amount of extras will fix that...

It's still better than Assault on Precinct 13. 😉 Anyone who diagrees has some seriously bad taste. Oh wait...you like Cyclops... 🙄

the tension between the two male leads, the faceless, merciless enemy. sure it had plot holes, but how many horror movies dont? i liked it personally...

first of all i identify with him the most. he's not popular and doesnt try to be, he just gets on with it and does things how he likes. and as leader of the x-men, when it comes down to it, he'd be the one to decide who lives or dies, he makes the tough decisions, and has the conviction to carry them through. That takes more balls than people realise. The guy has been through hell also, with jean continually dying, sending his son to the future just so he wouldnt die. It takes character to keep doing what he does day in day out. and i admire that. wolverine'd get everyone else killed if he tried to do cyclops' job.

why i dislike avp:

poor direction, acting (lance henriksen has lost it big time imo), writing

substandard effects and action scenes...

as for bad taste, your the one praising avp...😉

The original "Assault On Presinct 13" was flawless.

Lets keep the conversation pertaining to the DVD release, not the movie, or any other unrelated movies, at that.

The Aliens and the Predators in this movie have never looked better.

I just wish that there could have been more then one fight scene.

I wonder what the extended version will be like and what the deleted scenes will be.

There's also a different opening.

I'm getting it in a few days, released on 8th Jan on region 3. Missed it at the cinema.
