Heh, somehow I knew that Dexx would make a good go of this one.
Yes, it was Teshan, and yes, the speciies was Mogarian, and yes, it was because they needed 100% cover body suits as oxygent is extremely fatal to them- which also meant they talked using artificial voice synthisisers, better cover still. For bonus points I could have asked why this made Teshan suspicious, the answer being that Mogarians are committed pacifists, yet those two were rather good fighters.
Nayler was the Prelate, and yes, Saar had the Grandmaster's Daughter hostage, but their hatred of the Sith overcame the fear of the hostage being killed.
Edna was not one of them- sorry.
Gundark's troublesome vision was indeed the disturbance that wopuld be caused by the death of a whole world (even an under-populated one like Zeiton). And indeed, Takuan was directly responsible for preventing it.
Zeiton's destructioin was actually one of the smaller things from Takuan's vision- not that it was unimportant, just that your vision was focussing elsewhere. Still, that is one thing down so far.
It is indeed a form of Obfuscate that has impaired the Jedi this game- but from the Sith. not from you guys, and Sidious can Obfuscate in a way that is far more powerful than the rules covered in the Force Tree.
And as for b5... which Sith events, Takuan?
C1 has not been fully answered yet, though I shall do so now. The Elder was effectively a Light Sider, and killing the Jedi in cold blood, no matter how noble the cause, would most likely have been beyond him.
C2- nice try, but Ascar doesn't need to kiss ass in order to survive. In fact he is a very proud man and this would be beneath his dignity.
Galder does indeed have a LONG grudge list.
Interesting to see Balek getting the heaviest hate vote! Mark of success, perhaps?
H3- nice try. Not so though.
H4- nope, that's the 'bait' answer. Council only declared him dead two years before, say, Galder met him- nothing even closely approaching three decades. The Jedi were pretty sure he was alive whilst he was working for them!
H5- good question. Maybe you will find out.
That Kuylen was eerily similar to Dooku is ineeed the principle. But obviously enough, that WAS from a Star Wars film. In this case, it is a non-Star Wars film that appears to have beaten us to the idea.

1. Gundark and Sidious?
C. Harder questions
These questions relate more to motivations and backgrounds that might be harder to simply look up.
2.Because he knows about Sidious and wants them to win - he knows that the Jedi are more poweerful than the dark-siders would be, and knows Sidious will kill him for being a force-user.
3. The elevation of the Dark Siders to Sith status. This couldn't have happened because of the Sith rule of two - there already were 2 Sith, Sidious and Maul.
4. Psycho...D. Grudge matches
Galder and all the light-siders? Although it may not be a grudge, Tanic wants his gun back from Helkin!
E. Impossible questions
3. A very, very fast one?
4. Hoth or Corellia.
5. Bastard. I'll let someone else do that!F. The round of endless hatred
I think Helkin is pretty annoying! But, I haven't met anyone else.
G. Quotes round.
2. The Trade Guy that the Jedi were protecting.
3. Kuylen? Doon?
4. Kuylen
5. Doon.H. The beyond impossible questions
You actually have to be able to see the future to get these. They are actually teasers.
1. "Don't trust a snake." ?
2. Head of Security
3. Poisonous gases?
4. By himself?
5.What is the BB-50?
It IS Gundark and Darth Sidious; can you explain why?
Ascar does not know about Sidious, I can assure you, though he is in a process of exploring the evidence of the Sith, as Gundy knows. Whilst that is broadly related, there is a more direct piece of reasoning involved.
Actually, the rule of two was irrelevant to Kuylen- he thought it was in error (do remember it is not a cosmic rule, simply a policy the Sith eventually adopted). Had he achieved the Sith part of his plan he would next have had to destroyed the extant Sith and replaced them.
But when I say impossible, I really mwean from a game plot point of view.
Trade Guy as in the Viceroy? Nope. Multi-guesses not allowed, I am afraid, but I will say that each person only appears once in the quotes round.
1 is not far off. But also the event of which it is talking about is not far off so that's not going to spoil anything.
2- One of his VP portfolios is security, so it's not that.
3- Nope, nothing like that. Epireus has an entirely breathable atmosphere.
4- Enterprising! But he was very young at the time to be doing that. Kuylen is in his 30s.
5- Again... a good question. Why don't you find out?
Ok then, here are the answers for the curious.

A. Easy Questions!
These questions are easy because they are not hard to look up if you need to.
1. Which Jedi exterminated the Cult of Demnos?
It was Sareth Komal, and his Padawan Tol Seyya
2. Who was the ‘Fixer’ who made a living out of making introductions on Nar Shadda?
His name is Androni- Gundark did in fact manage to keep him alive
3. What was the name of the civilian (i.e. non-Jedi) Lightsabre teacher, who had retired and moved to Malastare?
Teshan
4. What was the name of the species that Ascar’s pupils impersonated when using the Dojo of the man from question 3?
Mogarian
5. And why did they choose that species?
Because oxygen is fatal on contact to Mogarians, so they always wear full environment suits- the suits made good disguises.
6. Who was the Prelate that was the Dark Side players’ liaison to the Order of Miramar, and later led the rebellion against the players?
Nayler- still alive, still dangerous
7. And what means was Saar using to keep them in check?
He had kidnapped the Grandmaster's daughter and was holding her hostage
8. And why did that method cease to have an effect?
Because the Order's hate for the Sith was greater than the need to keep the Grandmaster's daguther alive; during the raid on Ascar's apartment on Malastare, Nayler recognised the Sith symbols on the Astrolabe, and later Sieri (Julie's Jedi character) confrimed to him that Kuylen and co wanted to become Sith.
9. What was the name of the killer insect swarm species on the planet Dordellus?
Arthropods. Trivia point- these were originally designed as Persis' booby trap in his ship on Tartarus. But in off-line play the Jedi never reached that point, and they were used on Dordellus instead. When, on-line, Galder reached Persis' ship, the booby trap was a hot radiation cell instead.
(on a futher trivia point, Dordellus itself was only a last moment innovation for off-line play after one Jedi character destroyed one of the Dark Side hyperdrives, making a new way of getting to Zeiton important. On-line, it was made necessary far more in advance when Galder lost his ship)
10. And what was the best way to deal with that species?
Sonic vibrations.
B. Visions of the Force
The Force has had a lot to say about the plots that the players are involved in. Problem is, of course, that very few of you are able to hear it properly. A few questions, then, on the Force trying to make some points:
1. When Kuylen began his final push to Avalar, the potentiality of power and change to the Galaxy created a Disturbance in the Force. But only two people noticed it. Who were these two people, and why did they notice it in lieu of others?
Gundark- a Jedi Master who was soon to have a close personnel brush with Kuylen
And Sidious- fantastically powerful, and sending the possible threat Kuylen posed to him
2. Gundark was plagued with the potential of an upcoming Disturbance of the Force all the way through Episode V. What was the upcoming cause of that disturbance, and how was it averted?
The destruction of all life on Zeiton. Marcus and Takuan fought and killed Chion to prevent the Vengeance Deivxe going off that would have caused this.
3. Takuan was also hit by a vision in Episode V, though it didn’t plague him. In fact, it was very informative, but sadly Takuan’s force senses are like trying to watch 5 tv channels overlapped at the same time. The vision was trying to tell him one very important thing and several less important, but still relevant, things. Name the big important thing and as many of the small ones as you can.
The most important thing was that the whole Zeiton thing was a dead end- there was nothing to be found there. Other hints included Chion's betrayal, the unreliability of the Zeitonians as soldiers, and even what was going to cause trouble for the Jedi.
4. In contrast, in the first Episode of the new campaign, the Jedi have received absolutely no help from the Force at all. Why is this?
Because it is the plan of the Sith, who are awesomely well obfuscated, as the films make clear. Personal connection- like Gundy in episode I, or any of you in future Episodes- can break this... but it would be Yoda and Obi-Wan getting those hints, not you guys!
5. The Force has quite often shown parts of the future. What is the only time in this game that it has shown sustained information about the past?
Takuan saw a vision of the Sith subjugating Belseraphon- a clue as to the Sith hate of the Order of Miramar.
This question is not as valid as it was when it was posed.
C. Harder questions
These questions relate more to motivations and backgrounds that might be harder to simply look up.
1. Why was the Elder on Zeiton determined to execute the Jedi on his world as soon as possible? Why would he never have succeeded even in the best of circumstances?
Because the presence of the Jedi would make people aware of the truth of the Force, then causing the Dark to divide against Light and return Zeiton to the path of annhilation- only ignorance of the Force could save the world. Whilst it was technically too late, probably the most direct reason that the Elder could not have done it even in the best of circumstances, as the question says, is that he was a Light Sider and callous murder would have been beyond him. Still... maybe not, we'll never know.
2. Ascar seems suddenly very willing to help the Jedi on Coruscant this Campaign. What motivations can you think of for his actions?
Ascar has sensed the Sith are returning! He's seriously worried about that. He wanted Gundark to tell him all the Jedi knew.
3. What was Kuylen’s ultimate plan had he succeeded in all his plots in the original campaign? Why could this never have happened?
He wanted he and his miniona to become Sith, and as is well recorded there was nothing at Demnos to help him do that.
But everyone forgot this was not Kuylen's ultimate aim- he wanted to rule the Galaxy! Sithing up was his means of doing that, a motivation not all his followers shared (everyone wanted to be Sithed for their own reasons). He was going to lead a Zeitonian army to destroy the Jedi Order (with the Miramar providing a vast distraction). It couldn't have worked because no-one can make an army out of the Zeitonians.
4. What was Chion’s ultimate motivation for everything he did? Why did he choose to end that path on Zeiton?
Chion simply desired to destroy as much life as posible. In the Vengeance device, he saw probably a better way to do that than by becoming a Sith- that was a 'victory' for his life.
5. What is the genuine reason behind the creation of the Bureau of Immigration and Undesirables?
Ok, three layers. Layer one- it is an organisation designed to trap and catch interstellar criminals throughout the Galaxy
Layer two- its Osokan hunting teams are actually Death Sqwuad commandos rooting out all Dark Siders from the Galaxy as Palpatine destroys all rivals, and can no longer rely on the Jedi to do so who are not spending all their time on such matters after the events of the first campaign
Layer three- Palpatine needs a way to hunt down the surviving Jedi after his master Clone Wars plan goes off. The Osokans are his chosen means to do it (led by whatever apprentice he will have at the time, ultimately Vader), and Dark Siders are the best way to train them.
The Bureau was based around the idea that Clonetroopers are a good way to defeat the Jedi militarily, but it was hard to see them doing the work of hunting down all the ones in hiding- yet we know Vader helped the Empire, he didn't do all the work himself. It is likely that EU novels and other such material will contradict this, so this is our take on events (at worst, the Osokans are one of seveal means).
The Bureau allows us to start introducing elements of the Empire into the game, of course.
D. Grudge matches
People take stuff personally in these games. Good! Makes for better drama in plotlines. Name as many grudges that PCs hold to other people (including other PCs) inside the game so far. Oh yes, there will be more…
Just about everyone from the original game hates Balek, and Vlad is added to that too.
Galder has issues with Lance, should he return, and Marcus
Gundark and Kuylen was always an issue
Marcus hates Nebb
Heck it goes on and on... Jena is winning some new recruits, of course, and Cannes should be racking up hate votes for Xeth.
E. Impossible questions
You should have been able to answer these, but you can’t. Still, have fun taking a stab anyway.
1. Where did Ascar find the Astrolabe (when all of them were meant to have been destroyed)?
He found it on a world outside the Republic once owned by the Sith, where people still practice Force skills at a basic level.
2. Why has Balek given up his life of Bounty Hunting by the time of the second Campaign?
Because Count Dooku payed him a frigging fortune to do exactly what he did in Episode I- he has now retired! Ironically, Marcus dropped his Bounty Hunter contact just before play started, who could have helped a lot there.
3. What means of sub-light propulsion does Scorpio use?
A photonic drive- faster than any otherknown type of sub-light engine
4. What is Doon’s homeworld?
He's Corellian! Hence he is perpetually scruffy, and that's why he was in hysterics when Galder asked if he was from Tasker's Crown
5. What template is Helkin? (ok, you might be able to get that one)
Imperial Administrator
F. The round of endless hatred
Hade, Ascar, Persis, Nebb, Helkin… many are the NPCs that have been loathed beyond human reasoning in this game. Good! Again! Hating NPCs keeps players interested. So, let’s get a vote on who each player considers to be the most annoying person they have met! Exempting any other PCs here please- don’t want to start a war.
Nebb seemed to win it!
G. Quotes round.
Who said each of the following, and at which point?
1. “It’s always worth remembering a name.”
Doon! On his first meeting with Galder, before the first Campaign.
2. “Security is for the dedicated rather than the intelligent. No insult to your job, of course.”
Kir Ascar- winding up the Jedi on Malastare, though actually talking about Persis.
3. “It is the first time you have killed in a long time.”
Kuylen- talking to Edna after the first Dark Side fight of the whole franchise
4. “I will do everything in my power to extricate you from this unfortunate situation.”
Inevitably, Nebb, talking to Marcus, in the sense of lying.
5. “Me… I like to travel.”
Balek, explaining his presence to the Jedi who suspected he was following them.
H. The beyond impossible questions
You actually have to be able to see the future to get these. They are actually teasers.
1. What is the saying that the criminal types of the Galaxy have about the Golden Serpent? And why does the Mecrossa Order refuse to take contracts on it?
That those who play with the Serpent tend to get bitten, or some variation. The Serpent pays the Order not to be contracted, which the Order accepts as war with the Serpent is too risky.
2. Carlan Ryamore is a Vice-President of the Techno-Union, but what is his other job for the Union, and how did that put him in the position to organise the Conspiracy?
He was Sales Director to the Outer Regions, meaning he had large smaples and many contacts in shady areas to 'accidentally' let technology slip to.
3. Why are the mountain tops of Epireus the only safe place for humans, and similar species, to dwell on that world? Why does this suit the Dark Siders?
Epireus' high-pressure atmosphere is too thick for most life to live comfortably with- but up on the mountains the air is bearable.
4. Kuylen was declared dead more than three decades before any of you met him- by whom, and why?
Wouldn't you like to know!?
5. Many of our Star Wars plots or characters have been echoed by what GL wrote for the actual films, without us knowing it when writing. The BB-50 has suffered a similar fate, but not from a Star Wars film… which film has used the same idea?
Apologies, it is the BV-50. Might even be a bonus xp for the first player to answer this in the upcoming storyline.
