The actual name of the man was "Joseph Merrick", I believe.

So, that's who your impression is of.

The Elephant Man's name was Joseph, not John, Merrick. When Frederick Treves wrote his memoir, he referred to him as John. His handwritten manuscript reveals that Treves knew that Merrick's name was Joseph, and deliberately crossed out Joseph and replaced it with John. Merrick's surviving correspondence shows he signed his name as Joseph, and contemporary newspaper articles about his case refer to him by his correct name. Why Treves changed his name to John is unclear.

"Slums of Beverly Hills" HD. I like it as much as I did however many years ago I saw it.

Return of the jedi

Aguirre, The Wrath of God

Couldn't make it through the first 10 minutes off that movie.

"This Movie Is No Yet Rated" - Decent documentary. Kind of told me a lot of stuff I already knew. Have "Throne of Blood" for this evening.

I liked it quite a bit, not as much as "The New World", though.

Beavis and Butthead: The Mike Judge collection, volume 1, disc 1

"Throne of Blood" - Really hard to believe it was made in 1957. It was a little plodding, as I would expect with a Shakespeare adaptation, but it was fun to watch. Really atmospheric, and Toshiro Mifune was incredible. Awesome fight cinematography.

The pilot of 'Columbo'.

I'll have to look into that one. I watched 'Yojimbo' the other night and thought of it very highly. It's really cool comparing it to 'A Fistful of Dollars'.
