I've yet to watch my dvd of it, but the director's cut of Requiem For A Dream is more depressing apparently. Which version did you watch? Seen the theatrical version, amazing film, and adore the music.
I have the directors cut + an hour long documentary about the life of the author of the book (name again escapes me *sigh*). Agreed about the music, really added something to the film. The mixture of music and editing +camera work made me feel i was on drugs. What character do you think affected you the most?
I would have to say the mother, really was sad seeing her deteriorating state of mind. A scene that really stuck out for me was the scene where the son visted the mother (dont want to say anymore just incase i spoil it for someone). Also the scene where she has obviously lost it completely (fridge is jumping out at her etc). The director created a true masterpiece tbh.
