..and while child molesters don't exactly just "become" good people, I think that Kevin Bacon's performance in this movie, reflecting a certain percentage of offenders, does suggest that there are those of them that know what they've done wrong, try to change, and have a hard enough time living with themselves, in addition to having to deal with everyone elses persecution. It doesn't mean we should all start just going around, embracing child molesters, and while it's curious what source material this is all derived from, maybe we should keep that in the back of our minds, and not be so prejudice towards those who have made honest efforts to change their lives.
