Good Night and Good Luck - In a nutshell, the exact opposite of BF's opinion. Boring and carried by absolutely NOBODY else other than David Strathairn. Clooney's Oscar win for his combined 20 minutes of screen time was bullshit, in my opinion. I already read about the premise before watching it, and how anyone thought there should have been a movie made from it was beyond me.
Kudos for sticking it to the man and all that jazz, but having seen "UHF" 1,000,000 beforehand, it's all been done before. Just more entertaining.
I saw "A History of Violence" in theatres and hated it. I couldn't find my original post. It was just Cronenberg's version of "The Hulk", just with a lot of pointless, contrived, uncomfortable sex scenes and random violence with a shitty, predictible end.

A Streetcar Named Desire 👆 - Marlon Brando gives an amazing performance in this one. But Vivien Leigh is annoying as hell.
She was supposed to be. She was hopped on drugs, not to mention a ****. That movie was infamous for Brando's rape scene, so much so it was banned in some place. Elias Kazan is/was a ****in' genius who brought out the best in everyone.
Ah, finally saw Requiem, eh? I still remember how I felt after the first time I watched that movie. Really was something else to be so physically effected by a film.
Anyways. Last DVD I watched was Downfall. It was an amazing and unique portrayal of Hitler that showed him not as a cold heartless monster, but a confused, insane and sometimes kind human being.
