All my other costumes are from anime and video games...I'll probably start working on my Jedi robes tonight, I could possibly get them done as soon as this weekend (since I might actually have some free time to work on them Friday and Saturday), and I'll definitely take and post pictures 😄

Let me know how you make the robes and tunic and everything. I've seen the how-to's on the net, but I get confused.

Mostly what I want is the robes, so even if I am wearing regular clothes it can cover em up and I can look like a Jedi. 😛

I'll do that, I'll write down how I did it by step and draw out sample patterns for the pieces and stuff. I'm actually only making the tunic and pants, I'm not doing the actual cloak because I couldn't find enough of the right material. Bloody fabric store's going out of business so everything's on sale really cheap, but there was nothing left and just finding the material for the tunic and pants was hard enough (and a complete fluke, there was exactly enough of the fabrics I needed left). Hopefully I'll be able to find the right material and enough of it to make the cloak as well before ROTS.

What type of materials are they?

I bought a polyester twill blend, it has that sort of rough look that the robes and tunics they wear in the movies have. 5 yards of dark brown for the overtunic and pants, 3 yards of a beige color for the undertunic. I really can't wait to start working on this 😄

I should start a costume thread in the EpIII forum.

I heard that for the tunics you want woven silk.

Also regular khaki pants will work, so I hear.

I don't own any khaki pants and when it comes to costume making I'm practically freaking neurotic, I want to make EVERYTHING by hand.

I've heard that, too, but I didn't want to do that because 1) I don't quite like the look, 2) couldn't find any, and 3) silk is REALLY easy to ruin, and is expensive.
