I have my second honey moon, next year. That'll set me back about $2000.

This year, I have my best friends wedding. That set me back about $1300. I will probably spend $300 while I'm there.

This is in addition to the $15,000 worth of repairs I have to do to my home over the next year.

As you can tell, I don't have a shit load of money lying* around so I have to plan expenditures in advance. If only all of American did what I did, we would be like, "What housing and credit crisis?" 🙁

Where abouts are you going for your second honeymoon? I think I remember you saying something about Hawaii to me in the past. If so, are you going to give surfing a go?

King of Anglia ( 😉 ) is correct: we will be going to Hawaii, on a cruise.

We are going because it is our 5 year anniversary.

I hope so. I am still looking into the trip and I think the cruise will have a couple of places to stop and surf. The sooner I plan and pay, the cheaper.

More relevant to the thread, I definitely plan to take lots of photos and post them in here, of course.

Edit - That reminds me; will you I go surfing when I visit the UK? I remember you telling me about some good spots up there.

This past weekend I made close to 2 grand by burning chumps in the art of flooring-the-pedal, otherwise known as street racing. I belong to a racing club, so I don't do random races with strangers...anymore.

I fixed a camera on my dash to capture the action, and here's a few stills from a couple of my races Saturday night.

This guy is my opponent, who had a good lead early on.

Getting closer...

And past!

In this one (same race) I had just punched the nitrous and am approaching top speed while "playing Pac-man" (driving on the dashed line).

^I eventually won that one, and earning 500 bucks in the process.

My next opponent. (We start at red lights, and then gas on green, so here I'm beginning to accelerate).

And at the next intersection, I make a hard right turn as per the pre-selected route in the race.

And now, I'm slowing down as I finish.

^ I got 700 for that one.
