Hi folks....I am Paps...or Papa if you like !
Was just floating by and found this discussion forum.
I did not realise that so many youngsters were here...but hey, enjoying the movies and rock-music is not just for the shavetails is it ?
Let me introduce myself....
My name: Papaumau, is said a bit like the song..."Pap-a-oo mou mou a papa-oo-mou m-mou ! but that is not actually it's origin as far as I am concerned. I worked abroad in the British Civil Service for around twenty years and a Maori drinking buddy gave me the name. He said it meant Big Papa, ( Daddy ).
This is not surprising as my lightest weight was always around 18 1/2 stones and I am six foot three.
For the past few years and even when I was abroad I competed in Highland Games heavy field events. I retired finally last year but I still keep fit and strong and fast.
Hope to get to know many of you as I visit.
