O shut up. Its graphics are alot better than san andreas as I know that is what you are refering to The Ones. I come from London so I actually appreciate the fact that all the shops are correct and in the right places.
Actually, I don't even live in London and I can tell you right now the game is already inaccurate and out of date, and with every year, BECAUSE it is a real place, it will get more and more out of date as the city inevitably changes so rapidly.
Besides, London is flat and boring. Flat, grey roads everywhere. Couple that with the fact the streets in this game are dead or at best, robotic, then it doesn't seem very appealling.
GTA: SA is partially based on real life locations. It gets the most exciting bits of the real locations and gets to mix them all together. The map is also designed in order to provide an excellent video game world.
London was not designed to be digitally recreated in a videogame. The design doesn't flow properly, as the map in Getaway was designed with traffic control, not video game experinece, in mind.
Throw in crappy camera angles, annoying player control and the FAKEST "Sarf Landan" accents ever, and you've got a video game that not only plays badly, but doesn't even succeed in what it is supposed to. The idea of The Getaway was to provide a realistic London - if the city out dates itself and is bustling with people, then why is Getaways London innacurrate and lifeless? It doesn't even get that right.
They really should have tried to get London "visually" correct. Get the odd landmarks and so on right, rather than trying to recreate the UK's flattest city, then they would have more time to spend on the actual gameplay. Also, the characters are the ugliest human beings I have ever seen - I suppose they captured Londoners pretty well (ooh burn!).
