as Evil Dead said in another thread:
"really guys........unless you're into the whole dungeons & dragons, elves, trolls, sorcerers fantasy stuff.......the films are quite boring. I liken it to my 83 year old grandmother who has never used a computer in her life trying to watch The Matrix.........I just don't think the subject matter is too exciting to her."
I loved LOTR, and was a big fan of the books growing up. I think it is the best movie trilogy. But as Evil Dead said, if you aren't into that kind of stuff, it's going to be boring...which is understandable...If you don't like somethin, don't watch a movie about it
Hmm, D&D is in part spawned from LOTR's, but LoTR is so much more. And "a bite to unbelievable for me." Eh? It's fantasy, isn't that the whole point? I believed it was a wonderful series of films, and have been a fan of the books for a long time. One of the greatest trilogies ever. Classic good vs. evil. Yes, Frodo was a bit of a brat (ok, we know its tough, but can't you just grin and bare it you little whiner?) but everything else was perfect.
Personally I quite liked the villains, more then the heroes almost (except Gandalf, who was great). Give me the Witch-King and Gothmog. Keep your Hobbits.
