I actually asked the manager of the store I buy (most of) my used dvds from, and she said that you'd be amazed at how many people DO compulsively blind buy movies at a whim, and therefore sell the movies back for store credit. She has a copy of my wishlist in her office and since I am one of her best, and loyal, customers, when a movie is bought back by the store, she calls me and lets me know. I agree with you 100%, though. Some people need to exercise caution with blind buying dvds, or at the very least rent them first. But..................if they didnt so that, I wouldnt score such great deals! 👆

I dunno. I wouldn't want an "insiders edge", personally. It would take away from the thrill of the hunt. Besides, if I were to give the places I frequent MY wish list, they'd no doubt be buying them themselves and chucking them on eBay...
...and that's my job. 😂
$17 for that set is a decent deal. It's $24 new at DeepDiscount, though. Your real prize is that Jackass set at essentially 1/2 off. I'd love to have it. I don't buy a lot of new stuff, anyway. My speciality is OOP/Disco'd titles, so when I get deals, they're actual deals. Case in point, my $6 nWo DVD just sold for $40 on eBay. I actually had it twice before, sold it for that amount, but this one is all mine.

I got my Collector's Edition 2 disc of Narnia, with art cards/book marks/maps etc for only £13 brand new. If you look around you can get dvds cheaper than most places.

Don't you have all those episodes already with the first two volumes?
There's a couple of unedited and unaired episodes not on the other DVDs, as well as exclusive commentaries and a few Behind the Scenes deals. Some exclusive "American Dad" stuff, too. I only got it b/c it was cheap, and OOP.

Urgh that One Missed Call is getting a remake. Didn't know there was a 2 disc edition out though.
It was issued by Tokyo Shock, same company that released a personal favorite in "Biozombie". They and Subversive Cinema get a lot of great J-Horror titles. I had just learned about the remake a week ago, then came across the DVD this afternoon. Had no idea Miike had directed it. I actually commented on it in the Horror forums.

I went with a friend of mine to a pawn shop so he could get his XBox out of hock, and I started browsing through their dvd selections, and I was quite surprised at the library there. I'm gonna go back this weekend when I get paid, and get some more stuff I saw. I used to think that pawn shops, at least in MY area, had shit dvds for sell. I was wrong. 🙂
